Does ANYBODY have specs for the Titan 550 motors?
Such as no load top RPMs and total current capacity.
Who makes the Titan 550 anyway?
Well, they are Traxxas Titan 550 motors...so they are (distributed at least) by traxxas...i dont know the actual manufacture of the motor.
As for the rpm's its between 2300 and 2400 kv (rpm's per volt) and the maxx volts would be around 17 or 18 probably (they have been run crazy high before, but i dont know how long they lasted).
They're Mabuchi RS-550's. Mabuchi makes a bunch of different RS-550 motors & the Titans are probably built to Traxxas' specs & would probably not be found on Mabuchi's website.
There is no chicken knife. Eat steak.
That's the information I needed - thanks bunches!
I'm gunna ave to argue, using the formulas i have i came out with the titan 550 with about 3400kv if you want to see them just ask
On the Bench tester they are 1700 kv, 1.5 amp draw, .3 Ohm, 8oz.
Slow but very strong.
Got some data: This is the 14.4 Volt curve
This graph shows that at peak efficiency (n), the motor runs at 17,500 RPM (N), with a 10.5 Amp (I) draw.

I think the kershaw design chart is showing the E maxx Titan which is 23 turn. I would think the 12 turn power curve would be different. Anybody seen a chart for the 12 T?
Ya gotta know how to drive to survive
