i think he is talking about what spot the suspension should go in on the arms. The are 2 spots in the front arms and in the back there are 3 or 4 holes in the rear arm. I think that is what he is talking about, and he wants to know what hole should he have the shocks in for best traction. Wouldn't he want the outermost holes?

    suspension setup

my son and i run the truck lowered alittle bit, pro-line mashers with firm foams, rear shocks on outer holes top and bottom, fronts on outers on the arms, all shimmed for level but alittle rear high ride height rake. truck handles perfectly, but we have to take it easy on the jumps. experimenting with front springs right now.

If he wants more traction. He's gonna sacrafice some steering. If you want your suspension to be soft(to get more traction). Then you wanna have the shock as straight as possible. So you want the shock on the inner most hole. But it will also lower your car a little.

    suspension

i agree, we've tried different set ups and found our current placment, oil, valves, etc. to workfor us. it handles well and still wheelies to our delight, but not out of control.
full throttle, 20%, lotsa pistons and liners! with 4 trucks the fun never stops! and the battery charger is finished again.

WOW! This thread is truly historic.. It's the earliest surviving thread I can find on these boards...

How do i know? Look at the URL -- threadid=3. You can look for yourself, but 1 & 2 don't exist..

I know this question is probably answered by now, but if you want more traction then try lighter shock oil, or put RPM pistons in upside down.

I liked to set my n-pede up as low as it can go. You have a lower center of gravity and can turn at a higher speed.
Keep in mind most of my driving was on grass and road and mabye jumps no more than 2 feet high.

Also, For The Most Stability, Mount your shocks on the innermost hole in the shock tower, and the outermost hole in the suspension arm. This will give you the lowest ride height, and most responsive shock configuration.

Oh, and BTW, RPM pistons won't normally fit in big bores. You'll need to sand them a bit.

    $200 max.
the batt. charger and bulk do nothing for the value of the truck.
    plus bald rear tires.

$150-$175 is more realistic as a rtr.
parting it out might get u a bit more.

I I cant imagine this beast with 3s. With 2s is almost uncontrollable.

The only issue is the motor fan dont fit

I ran my pede for about one hour in off road conditions and never had heat issues. I also install alumihum tranny case and novak heat sink with motor fan.
