We've been racing them here in the Houston area for about 4 months now. All we have been doing is add adjustable tie rods, use 3000-7000wt shock oil, and lower ride height to about 5mm. We use either...
I think the big sponsorship with John Force Racing had something to do with it. There is a lot of rc drag racing in the world too.
You will need the larger motor because of the weight.
Races @ RC Hobbies in Cypress,Tx. These cars are a load of fun.
Very nice replica. I may get one. Anyone getting one in the Houston,Tx area can come race with us at http://www.gcdragracing.com/.
Here's a write up of how I fixed my son's TC4 with Shoe Goo and drywall mesh.
These are some great chargers.
I seen that the other day and recognized right away.
My T-Maxx 3.3 had an air leak on the front bearing so while I had it apart thought I'd try my hand at P&P.
Didn't get to crazy with it just enough to help it breath.
Took a little while to get it...

These are not stock gears. I think.Right Sunny?
I want to see how the gears hold up.
Sounds like it's not getting a radio signal. I know the xl-5 does that if I forget to turn the radio on.
Yes you can charge 2 at a time if your charger can handle 12 cells for 2-6cell packs or 14cells for 2-7cell packs. You just need the proper adapter. I do it all time with my Triton Jr.
I run a spool in my T-maxx on all surfaces. Great for bashing but not for racing.
While you have it apart run the motor by itself to see if it squeals.
I had some Titans on my E-Maxx squeal.
The blame is all on me. I introduced Sunny to drag racing and now he comes out and puts a whooping on me all the time, but that's about to change.:D Maybe I can convince him to go back to speed runs...
Those RadioShack holders is what I use. Got both a 4cell and 8cell holder. Just remember to charge at 1-1.5 amps.
