Front on the red jato are old Team Associated tires they made in the early 90's. Not sure what they are called but they stopped making them a long time ago. I see them all the time on ebay. The rears...
Proline makes 2.2 wheels that are a direct fit for the jato.

These are both made by Proline. The set on my red Jato dig in much better than the other ones. Tower hobbies sells them but you can also get them on ebay.

The 2.8 beadlocks are made by RC4WD. The 2.2 beadlocks are from RC Gator. Both are made of aluminum.
Ummmm......The receiver..... It's just an aluminum cover with a pocket to fit the failsafe. The receiver goes inside the box.

Here are some pics of my jato.
I used the Ofna Micro Failsafe. I made a custom receiver box cover with a pocket for it.
I used the PROLINE 2.2 size. They make two different styles , so I tried them both. The ones on the caged Jato look cool and more realistic but the paddles are very soft and don't work very well....

Hot Racing makes it. You can get it on Ebay
Both of these set ups work 10 times better than the stock setup.
But don't forget the Jato is 2wd so it only has 2 wheels to stop it.
Plus its twice as fast as most , so theres just so much you...
Yes i think the Jato is "MORE FUN" than an E-MAXX.
I think you meen its too lean.
Steve Slayden pro driver for Traxxas has won many championships with a completly stock TRX3.3 against many exotic powerplant such as O.S. , SERIO , NOVA ROSSI ...etc.
Just to make sure we understand, you said the mounts broke? Not the gears?
Most cooling heads tend to be oversized and bigger than they have to be.
I don't think you should have a problem at all. Especialy if it's for speed runs
when the engine will have plenty of fast...
So I was checking my email today and I came across one called "Jato R&D Team"......so I open it up and this is what I see....
Pretty cheap on ebay...
I would go to Wal-Mart buy a dremmel an easy out set and some JB weld.
Go home take the screw out.
Go back to Wal-Mart with your receipt and return it all and get your money back.
Just checked out the vid forbes...very impressive.
I don't know if I'll be going that fast. But i hope to come close.
I do plan on using a highly modified 3.3 and this 20/40 gear combo
