Well all I can tell you is that my LHS recomended the Tamia thread loc & it has worked well.
Of course the RC10GT parts I'm using it in is more nylon than plastic so that might be the reason.
This is what you need!!!
This is made to work with plastic so you don't have to "put the old kibosh" on the screws in the first place.
I used it on my sprint car because I was stripping out screws...
So what servo were you talkng about??
My JR XS3 Pro has the same servos the DX3 came with, the JR Z590M & the JR Z270, neither of whitch is digital as far as I know.
If I'm wrong let me know...
Personally I'm going to get the Airtronics, the reason being 3 LHS have recomended them, & several people around here are using them with good results.
Does that mean it's better??
I don't know I...
I believe with the MIP you only get the bodies & shaft, with the GTR you get complete shocks with oil, tools, 2 sets of pistons, etc. basicly everything but springs.
Here's a link to the GTR shocks
Actually WD40 repels water, it will attract dirt.
If you feel you must lube stuff use a silicone spray that leaves a dry residue.
Personally I use my air compresser to blow dust off everything.
I'm 46 & any hobby that someone spends this kind of $$$$ on isn't for kids!!
When they gripe about my Revo or any other of my hobbies I tell them to worry more about thier kids riding thier pocket...
Yea I worry about that!!
Measure twice drill once!!!!
It is easier with a drill press but yea you just have to take your time & get the measurements right before drilling.
Elongating the holes...
You have to remember the response tires are a soft racing tire, they are not ment for ripping it up on hard pack surfaces, long high speed runs on concrete or doing doghnuts.
They are ment for loamy...
I have the JR XS3 Pro myself & I really like it.
No crystals needed, great range, small receiver, don't need a physics degree to set it up.
Use the Z590 servo for the throttle/brake
I wasn't that inpressed with the rcscrews stainless screws my self.
They were too soft & easialy stripped. JMO.
Well according to my LHS that is possible!!
they told me about that last week & I had them order me 2~O Rings, I'll let you know if they actually show up & what the P/N's are.
I have the XS3 Pro & here is how I set mine up for reverse.
1. with the radio power off Press the scroll & channel buttons at the same time & turn on the power (while holding the buttons down) to...
When bashing I haven't had a problem with heat in the brake.
On a race track though I always get it too hot to touch.
A properly adjusted brake will get hot when used, I'm waiting for Traxxas to...
It would be easier to just put a monster big block with 3 hp in it instead of going thru the extra weight & complexity of a dual engine install IMO.
I don't see why it wouldn't work but I wouldn't use boiling water like you do when coloring nylon with Rit dye.
Personally though I preffer the while or light colors on my filters, that makes it...
Looks good..... but why didn't you do the hesd & pipe too??
IMO Racing is much more expensive!!
If you want to be compeditive you are going to need, better engines, new tires on a regular basis, better radio, etc, etc, etc.
When bashing I only replace what...
So far just bash!!
But now that I've got a nice radio (JR XS3 Pro) & some trigger time I may start racing.
If I enjoy it I'll pop for an OS .18!!:D
I'm thinking Traxxas needs to pitch in on this, a bunch of regular guys doing this aginst what is surely going to be a bunch of 1/8th scale buggies & truggies can only be good press for Traxxas!!
I totally agree!!
Traxxas should have put a wing on it from the factory!!
It really makes it look so much better & the fact that it actually works is the icing on the cake!!!:D
It'd better be real soft dirt or the paddles would rattle the truck apart!! LOL!!
Lots of good ideas.
It sounds like it's definatly doable, liike some one said most of the entries would probably be truggies & 1/8th scale so it would be intresting to see a Revo try it.
Yea you'd need several receiver packs so you'd always have a charged one ready to go, a bunch of tires, a spare engine (or several!! LOL!) & all kinds of built up spares ready to install, like why...
All it said was to "stay tuned to RC Nitro to find out more about when & where".
