Yes, the dremel was my first thought too.
But it looks like it will be very near where the screw goes, so I'm not sure about it. Will give it more thought.
There's a thread detailing the construction of this stand.
I've bought the T-Bone skids. I think I am installing them correctly, but in the front is it normal to sacrifice some articulation? Because the end of the axle rubs the mouting plate.
Update: completely unintended use, but it works great.
So here it is.
I am still not quite finished yet. Some final adjustments are needed.
What I've changed from your original design:
- Used 90 degrees elbows instead of 45
- Because of that I...
Thanks for the parts list and photos!
I've built one for me this weekend (still have to do some fine tuning).
I've changed the measurements a little bit because 45 degree joints were not...
Curious behavior, just making sure it's supposed to be that way.
Yesterday (I finally had the time) and bashed until the LVD kicked in (50% throttle, slow blinking red).
Okay, time to end the...
I also now have a TQi (4 channel) that does not turn on. Mine came with a 1/10 summit.
It worked perfectly from day one. I decided to install the telemetry (to monitor engine temp and battery...
Thanks guys. :)
Crock, can you point me to how can you say that based on the image?
Not that I am doubting you, I want to learn .
I believe the wheel was stuck pretty hard and I didn't notice until it was too late.
I do have the metal center shafts installed. I believe that it may have helped to transfer the full wrath of...
So I received the parts and followed the guide in Traxxas' website on how to disassemble the rear end and take the diff out.
I then opened the diff and replaced the broken output shaft. I decided...
Looks exactly like mine, from what I can see. As jamann said, it must be a bad part.
I am waiting on the replacement parts to arrive to open the diff. I'll post some pictures as well.
I do not believe that it's a case of failing bearings as the truck is brand new. Probably doesn't have 3 hours total of running with it.
It was not on the diff lock side. At least this is my understanding from looking at the exploded views.
It sure didin't look as the wheel was caught up, but I can't rule that out.
So now I've had mu first broken part.
I don't really remember doing anything stupid. While climbing some easy (but slippery) rocks the left rear diff output shaft just snapped.
I figured that using 2A couldn't hurt and tried it. From 7.9V to 7.6V took around 90 minutes
Interestingly enough it didn't go to 2A but stopped at 1.1A and when it reached 7.60/7.59 it...
I am using the default (0.1A) current for discharging my 7600 mAh (non Traxxas) 2S 40C rated Lipo from around 3.9/4.0 V/cell to 3.85 V/cell (using the storage program).
I'm using the EZ...
Thanks. I'm at peace now. I've run with it yesterday and it's running fine.
I understand that this type of part is made to work at an angle. It just seemed odd that, probably because it was very slight.
Just a clarification, when I said output shaft of the rear differential I meant input shaft of the rear differential.
Hi, I've recently bought a Summit (truly happiness in a box :)).
I had the opportunity to buy the 5650R center shaft upgrade with it, and after a couple of very light runs with it 100% stock (just...
