Sounds like you may have a stripped gear inside the servo. on the bright side they are rebuild-able and the gears are cheap like $3 or $4 I think.

It's alot easier to set your slipper if you remove the rear end from the chassis.
All it takes is removing 4 screws.
I would install a wing and the wide ratio gears in the trans and not go any bigger than 16/36 because the motor has it's limits as well.
More power only means more speed if it is geared properly.
