Onyx 235 is a great charger. Has what is said above, and is
real easy to use
Here is mine street editionhttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/05/ry5ygane.jpg
Well here is the way it works:
Smaller Pinion & Larger Spur Gear = less top end speed, more torque, less heat
Larger Pinion & Smaller Spur Gear = more top end speed, less torque, more heat
Depends on what your gearing is now, what Temps you're comfortable with, and what you're driving on.
What your gearing?
It depends on the race you choose to participate in and the rules of your track.
Some general items:
Get a good battery. Most races permit a 2s LiPo; you'll want decent capacity to make it the...
I ordered some air cooled (with fans) heat sinks a while back for my streetcar; they performed really well. I'm sure even if you bought a passive (without fan) heat sink you would see a little...
Why did you go to a metal spur gear?
Having a metal spur gear is not the end of the world, but I still would not recommend it. All the other gears in the slash drivetrain are metal and a plastic...
+1 on above. If you make too many changes at once and something goes wrong then you have to revert All those changes back. It is supposed to be fun too!
Big Bore shocks are great.
I use STRC aluminum shocks with the Traxxas TiNi shafts.
Its not always about how many aftermarket parts you have, but how well you have your truck tuned to your racing...
I would recommend tuning your shocks to whatever suites your driving style best. Buying aluminum shock bodies and caps is a good idea,
especially to prevent shock blowouts. But I would also tinker...
But to get the wider track width you will need wheels with a standard or neutral offset, because the Pro Line Wheels that may be included with your ProTrac Kit return the track width to normal
Not to mention the surprising performance boost 1/8 buggy wheels/tires can offer.
Both major brushless system used in the Slash today include the Traxxas Velineon and the Castle Creations Mamba Max/ 4-pole motor.
Each of the systems has their own benefits and downfalls. The TRX...
Im not %100 sure about the reliability of Venom LiPos, maybe someone who has owned one can chime in.
Let us know how you like it
Hey! I was gonna recommend that. Lol jk no it is my choice to. The user interface is also so easy to use and Duratrax makes a good product ONYX has been selling for a long time with many 2nd time...
I hear of people using that charger and liking it, but I dont own it myself. Same thing goes for the battery there used to be a lot of hype on here about GENS ACE LiPo. Personally I use the SPC LiPo...
Ebay is a good option, google "jpspro," look up SPI Racing Wheels
just to name a few
Yea great place to become experienced.
Can't get enough of RPM, I own their A-Arms for my slash for 4 years now and only broke one (blame it on driving in cold weather)
Yea, I will one I get it more refined... It needs some suspension adjustment
Really any tire on the right wheel will fit the Slash, it just depends on if you want to run the stock body or not. You just want to make sure your wheel fits the slash with proper clearance and that...
If you want a Pre-Wired kit you can google "RC Lights."
Many options are available, people even sell kits on ebay.
I would have busted out the grinder after the first drill bit. I like to use the dremel method, works great.
Not necessarily, depends on the type of racing: stock, mod, etc.
Anyways I'm more into the custom modding DIY building then bashing
As I'm repping the electric hawk
and a custom designed by me...
