Just an FYI...
Recently I decided to try out the new snow chains I made. My Summit was set up with the Dewalt 12v, 20/65 gearing, dual 2s 65c 6000mah batts.
I was bashing in the snow and then,...
What's with the tie wrap on the MIPS?
Yep... The RPMs are the way to go.
Very good video. Camera work and editing is awesome. Very professional. I love the music too.
Awesome video man! What camera were you using for all the shots?
Excellent pictures man! Looks like an awesome place to run the Summit.
I'm looking at a baby Summit to pal around with my big Summit. The guy bought it, ran it around the yard once a wants to sell it. He wants $250.... But I can probably get it for $200.
Still experimenting but I have a 14.4 and 12v....running 20/65. The Esc stays warm but the motor gets really hot. I'm told the Dewalt motors can take the heat. Btw... I feel the 12v accelerates...
I have not heard of any white a-arms for the summit. You could try and see what color you make out of the blue RPM a-arms.
2 x 4 ******* 5000mAh 20-30C hard case
Thinking about getting higher mAh and xxC ******** lipos
Is that transparent covered wire, Monster Cable speaker wire?
Anybody know of a wheelie bar that fits the Summit? I've heard that the revo one will not fit if you have the RPM bumpers (I don't know if this is true. I like wheelies but tired of grinding the cage.
Kershaw says they cut the Dewalt pinion off. I used a dremel with a cut off wheel. If you don't feel like doing the cutting yourself or even the soldering, he can do it for you.
I would look into making sure it is really clean. Also, make sure the solder is completely melted AND you do not move the wires until the solder has solidified.
Use a 200W solder gun. Or, I have...
I have been running a Dewalt 14.4 with 68/14 and was impressed. The other day I picked up a Dewalt 12v, soldered on some leads and set it up with 68/20... Running 4s. First thing I did was launch...
I usually go bashing at East Fork State Park with my Summit.
Anyone try Acer ceramic bearings? They are about $89.99.
$575! For bearings? Holy crap.
Yes the Dewalt motors fit with motor mount modification mentioned here and elsewhere on the forums.
Isn't 15.8 kg-cm = 219.4 oz-in for the TGY-9150MG ?
The wobbling with my stock blue hexes was getting worse. The HPP Germany hubs are really designed and machined well. No wobble now. The the only issue was they ended up costing me $45 US and a two...
Great instructional video. I mounted my HPP hubs last night. I am very pleased.
I managed to fit one diff set into an Alu Cup so far. My gears are binding a little bit.. Do you guy tight fit the I-bar, or do you leave some play?
I am looking forward to getting the HPP hubs. I ordered them a while ago and they will probably arrive on the 27th
I think you will be ok with plastidip. If you are having issues with the plastidip not sticking to the silicone cover wires, I found that sealing them with a product called "ShoeGoo" works well. You...
