I took it off and looked at the teeth, they are ok. The wheels turn fine with it disconnected. Didn't try running the servo.
When I try the servo just hums. Left works though. I'm hoping it's just the gears, it should be. I ordered a new set of gears. I checked the servo saver and it looks ok.
If you need to blow the water off your truck after cleaning, a shop vac works great as a blower and a small one only costs $30. I feel like I wasted $100 on an air compressor.
My first truck is my stampeded vxl. But I've been thinking of getting a used Tmaxx. All the extra maintenance is a bummer though.
Going brushless is a great idea. I thought about getting a tmaxx, but I don't want to deal with all the maintenance of a nitro.
Nice truck, welcome to the addiction!
I have the 8 gal. one from harbor freight. I had a 3 gal, but the pressure drops way to fast for me. With the 8 I can even run air tools. My little air grinder came in handy for smoothing the edges...
I'm gonna get a piece of sponge to put in for the battery to sit on. I think that will make it more secure.
That's cool. I ground the ribs out of mine earlier today, it only took a few minutes.
After taking a good look at how the batteries fit, I think I need to grind the ribs out of the battery tray. The only area I'm having a problem is where the ribs touch the battery.
I have a some soft case lipos and the thin plastic cover is cracked in some places, from rubbing I guess. Would plasti dip be a good fix? I put duct tape on them but it rubs through that too.
That's cool. He's a pretty good shot to hit that in the first 10 rounds.
The rpm front skid plate makes the truck 10x more durable. I haven't broke anything since I put it on. I already had rpm shock towers though.
That's cool. I wish I could get my son more interested in it. He just wants to play video games.
Anyone here ever try that? There's a guy on youtube doing 100mph with a rustler. People were saying he's uusing the same gear on the motor and transmission for a 1:1 ratio. I don't see how that's...
hobby king has a set for like $6, just have to drill some holes in the body, they give you clips that hold the lights, and it plugs right in the accessory plug on your truck
I haven't broke a stock arm yet. Do you like to run into trees or something?
I have a stock mount raised all the way up. I have the battery expansion kit and wanted some extra clearance for cooling the esc.
Not when it's on rollers.
Well this was my first order with them and I have no complaints. The little clips that came with it work great, the lights are very solid.
Yep that plug works great. The kit I got was only $6 shipped and has little clips to mount the lights and some wiring adapters. Mounted it on my hummer body, looks pretty sweet.
wow I can't say hobby king?
I ordered a kit from *********. I was just gonna use the plug for the esc fan since I don't use it. And it puts out 6v like I need.
