what are the 6mm teflon washers used for? I didnt see you mention them.
Looks pretty heavy to me. Maybe an engine upgrade is in store?
I doubt thats possible on a stock chassis.
All that aluminum is going to make for a very heavy truck and leave no weak links which in turn means you will just bend everything and not actually break it.
So are you saying that running the true-track with the supplied carriers will be more narrow then the stock 4908 arms & carriers?
I dont want the pinion & ring gear tho.
Is there a way to get just a sealed aluminum diff cup for the 4908 Diffs?
Thanks for the conformation Snook Man.
Thanks for the confirmation guys.
 what a waste.... of alot of money...
Will THESE work with my 4908 Maxx? Im running stock 4908 bulks & arms in the front and stock bulks & RPM True-Track in the rear.
Does anyone have the part number for the Traxxas Center CVD's for a 4908 Maxx? I cant find it anywhere.
I upgraded my steering servo from the Traxxas Digital 2070 to a Hitec Hs-645MG. Im needing to know: what the correct servo horn is that I need to use? Is this it?
So if I am running the 5451R CVD's on my 4908 Maxx with stock arm's in the front and RPM True-Trac in the rear do I need the extended drive cups?
Well, I have a Hitec HS-645MG servo thats new, I guess I'll use it for the steering. I also have some Trinity 55wt shock oil that I will use. I'm still undecided about what to do for the diffs. I...
Would I need the 5451R CVD's for a 4908 Maxx?
What weight oil do the big bores come filled with? What is a good weight to start at for bashing?
What weight oil is in the diffs from the factory? Can I use Yokomo Diff Lock Lube to get a more...
What is the factory diff lube?
EDIT: Same post as earlier...
Are the E-Maxx diffs better then the diffs on a 4908? Does it have any affect on the gearing of the truck?
I say ditch the wing and run that body. Its sick.
Yes, it is a stock 4908 chassis.
Thanks for all the compliments.
I doubt you can find a 4909, they have been discontinued for awhile now. The 4908 is a great truck with plenty of power to do wheelies and bashing. Someone said the 4909 is a better deal, thats...
Here is a couple pix of my 4908 chassis after I "worked" on it a little bit in my mill at work. I'm not sure what it weighed when I started but it weighs 166 grams now and is still very rigid and...
Thanks for the input guys. I'm going with the Picco and having it p&p.
And I have found the engine and mount at horizon hobbies.
