Thanks for the clarification. Haven't had it in a while and couldn't remember exactly what you can change that way.
castle used to have the ability to change those values using the remote.
Not sure if they stillbdo or not and it was a little bit of a lengthy procedure.
Anyone know if you can still get the exploded views for the rustler?
I looked on the site but can't seem to find them.
another question I didn't see asked is are you breaking in these motors when you buy them and are you doing any maintenance on them?
I know there are better out there but I have been using this one for a few years and it hasn't given me any problems.
I don't have any experience with the piggybacks but I love the big bores I put on my rusty.
Could als be a loose/worn slipper clutch or the pin that holds the gear on the top shaft inside the transmission may have broken. If the pin broke the gear woulbe on tight enough to turn the wheels...
Happened to me a while ago with my rustler. the truck was completely submerged for about 25 min. When I got it out I took all of the electronics (none of them were waterproof) and let them sit in...
Also recommend every so often take the motor out and flush it with motor cleaner and once it is dry re oil the bushings on both ends.
If i am not mistaken the adapter will be fine for charging the battery, but i don't think the molex is going to handle the draw of the brushless system.
I will admit that i am not too familiar with...
Also looks like you may want to check the preload spacers, they look to be adjusted two different heights.
Is this an analog (MHz) or digital (2.4ghz)
Not sure what radio you are using but i have run a 3800 and 4400 motor on nimh and the only time experienced cogging is back when i had an fm radio when i switched to 2.4ghz the problem disappeared.
If you are charging them at the same rate the 4200 will take longer then the 3000.
As far as the voltage the 8.4 is a nominal voltage the max voltage for njmh is 1.6 volts per cell so the 7 cell can...
If the pinion gear is spinning the motor is good and it should only take a few bucks for a new spur to get it up and running. Just make sure to set the mesh correctly or it won't take long to...
Did the samething awhile ago and if i remember correctly the top shaft is different and will need th be replaced.
You will also need a new spur gear and two bearings for it along with the slipper...
Thanks for the info guys.
Thinking of building a 2wd stampede, I have a 2pole 4400kv brushless on hand and i was wondering if this motor would work or if I am going to have hrat issues?
Thanks for any insight you guys can...
Also may want to chech that they are plugged in to the correct slots.
Some of the problems could be related to the fact that with that motor (had the same onein a rustler) the nimh will work but will not be ableto supply with the amps it really needs. I ran it with a...
Is this a nimh battery and if it is are you sure the lvc is turned off? If it is a nimh in lipo mode the voltage drop when the throttle is engaged could be triggering the cutoff.
Not sure if it is the same body that came with it but there are some grave digger bodies by parma for less than thirty dollars on amazon.
Not sure where you are looking but i just downloded the exploded view from the wbsite.
I have a 4 pole brushless motor (not sure if it is any good or not) i want to put in my rustler but the only brushless esc i have is for 2 pole motors and I am curious if the esc will power the motor...
It you lift the rear end up off the ground do the wheels spin?
If they do does the clicking sound still occur?
