Well I use the Center Diff, so adjusting the Slipper won't help much.
I'll try the 17mm Hexes when I can find them in stock somewhere.
I already have the aluminium hexes, it just made the wear on the rims worse.
I've used loctite and tried self-locking nuts, to no avail.
I keep grinding the wheel hexes.
Both on the axles and on the wheelrims :$#!!:
Anyone got an idea how to solve this issue?

I don't have that setup but i'm considering it too.
Overheating is my issue with the Velineon too, but I am concerned about the waterproofing as it around 200 days a year here in Denmark.

So a couple of months ago I bought a used Slash 4x4 (model# 6808) because i missed my old Ultimate edition.
I upgraded it with a sway bar kit, Losi Springs (Blue on all four shocks), RPM front and...
Well my Slash 4x4, along with others who haven't changed the hex are 12mm, that's why companies make them in 12mm.
Why not just buy them pre mounted on the Pro-Line Split-Six rims?
I.e. product number: 1176-13
I run those with Bow-Ties and they are awesome.
They should work with the stock Traxxas rims, but i...
None of them are made to fit the Slash.
But you might be able to customize them so they fit.
My Slash 4x4, bought it well used.
After a quick cleaning, the bodyshell bumpers are cracked in a lot of places....
My Pede 4x4
It has a few upgrades, which include.
JConcepts Illuzion Stampede 4x4 Overtray
JConcepts Lowered Body Mount Kit for Stampede 4x4
Proline Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Body,
As for the paint job, the plan is a fade on the front from white to blue, with white lightnings down the body, and white wheel arches.
Similar to this one. ...
Right now i'm going for the tricked out pickup look.
I've ordered a Proline Chevy Silverado body, that going to painted by a professional airbrusher.
That will be sweet.
The Grave Digger body...
I just ordered a Pede 4x4.
It will be my third RC from Traxxas after my Monster Jam Grave Digger and Slash 4X4 Ultimate.
I'm SO excited.
I'm still contemplating what body work to run with, either...
