If you dont rely on yourself to know the right signs when the batteries are low on amp's, I'd recommend a failsafe, it is not a bad investment!
Dont believe that the failsafe would stop you...
If you are new to this hobby and havent learned the lesson on when the batteries are about to give in, you should get a failsafe! A investment that can save you big bucks.
Lesson learned: The...
The OWB or the axle it's mounted on is not supposed to be lubed, they work best when 'dry'.
Taking the truck to the LHS everytime you have problems will make your cashflow expand some ;) This is a...
1. cleaning the OWB and the axle it grips might help for a short time. Main reason is that the brass bushing leaks fuel and oil from the inside of the engine and out on the shaft that the OWB grips,...
Spare glowplugs are NEVER a bad investment if you have to burn those last bucks on 'a must have'.
It is a lubrication hole for the bearing at the flywheel. You'll se a similar hole on the connection rod.
I personally dont think that there's actually -bad- fuel out there amongst the brands. The differences might be how the engine performs.
I run Byron & Model Technics in my engine.
There will always come some unburned fuel & oil out of the muffler.
It's not a thing you should adjust on the servo, the engine have been somewhat wrongly tuned and this you do on the carb.
It's hard to pinpoint what's wrong with such little info.
You basically have to check the driveline. Does the truck roll easy when you roll it on the ground?
Does it make some noise when driving,...
Have you managed to point out where the 'whistling' sound came from?
If you havent heard that prior to the spurgear change it could come from that.
Did you change the clutchbell aswell? If you have...
Go easy on the throttle for starters!! Get to know the area you are going to drive in, that is a moneysaver ;)
Bet you both will have loads of fun.
Neat workshop you got there =)
Congrats on your new investment!!
I dont own a revo myself, but I dont think that starting off with adjusting the shiftpoint is the right end to start in.
Remember that it is not only the...
Those vids was kind of a 'pain' to watch.
The first one, your Revo struggled in that high grass, it almost did not shift into second at all, I could smell the clutch-wear and engine heat...
Not to offend anyone, but I believe that shipping out models RTR saves Traxxas and other companies moneys for the 'incompetence' of some shoppers.
We are created different and not all have the...
I cannot imagine a bigger teaser than the launch date for the Revo, and that my hobbyshop have recieved it in the store.
I wonder why its needed more torque in the Revo,'s steering than in the Tmaxx'es. It gives higher power consumption & a higher weight on the truck.
The steering that I have on my Tmaxx is working...
I have pre-ordered 2 Revo's from my hobbyshop here in Norway.
Speed kills the truck faster than you would like. Even if you are a good driver, the truck gets more punishment from the high speeds and it will ofcourse be a more expensive hobby.
But that some...
This is what Traxxas lives on! Spareparts sale.
The T-Maxx have become so big that they will live for years on that one, so you should not worry about getting parts to your Maxx just because a new...
You feel like a kid?
I am 35 and will have a REVO in my collection when it's released in my country. (Norway)
Why do age have anything to do with the hobby???
Well, I would imagine that without you, Holmwrecker and OvalQueen, the store have maybe not have that much publicity?!?
I who are from Norway, have been shopping at your store ^_^ and havent regret...
What should I do?
I have been off these board some time now. When I got back, I suddenly get hammered "REVO" in my forehead.
Traxxas.....You certainly havent been lazy the last...
Relax Chiefmojorisin, it wasn't you.. :)
It's weird, that I, a guy from Norway can spell better than someone from US....Or England.
(I might drive better too ;))
