I am wondering how this works with the 2 speed tranny as well?
Did it run for 1 hour on one tank?
My DX3S temp wire is off by 50 degrees (too high) once it gets above 220.
Not true, i have mine set up to lock the rear first.
That body is freaking awesome!! Gotta get one now
These are the tires that i prefer in the snow(on the yellow one), I tried the trenchers and they were horrible...not enough width to keep you on top of the deep stuff but good if there is only 2...
I totally agree with the soft throttle control in the snow and i absolutely love driving in it. Slow and steady.
I have the same problem sometimes and it always ends up being snow or ice that is preventing the shift assembly from sliding.
I did want to dye my chasis but not black, I don't know if i could have dyed the grey to blue :((
I didn't finish the bumper replacements because those LED's are very difficult to remove from the old bumper without breaking them...
The first thing I switched out was the electronics
Then I moved the transmission and then I pulled the front end and...
So here are the photos as to why I wanted to do this:
Battery door hinge cracked:...
I rinse all the snow off in the sink and then take the air compressor to it.
After dropping the rear drive train I found that the bulkhead is broke ugh....off to the lhs before I can put it back together
Always make sure that your charger is set to the LIPO setting, my 245 defaults back to NiMh every time it get unplugged !!
I also would get a LIPO sack, it is a pretty cheap insurance policy...
I usually put a towel underneath for dirt collection but i never thought about it catching a screw from bouncing off the table....thanks
I am pretty excited to get rid of a chasis that has 2 years...
I have them on my computer as a PDF so i can zoom in and get a good look, they maintain resolution quite well when you zoom in.
I normally try and put the screws back where i got them from so i dont forget where they went....then the 1 year old grabs the part and runs off with it LOL.
It looks like in some of the build...
I am going to replace the old banged up chasis on my Summit and I was wondering if there is any secret out there that might simplify this daunting process.
The Viper VTX8 is sensored and waterproof.....but it is rather expensive.
In the credits it said Summit VXL.
Thanks for the info
I don't know where all four of your batteries would go or the extra servos that a Summit has :((
Nice setup, i am looking at getting the same thing. What Kv did you end up gong with? How is the cogging when in low range crawling without a sensored motor??
I have the exact same "problem" with the EVX-2 on my Summit (Traxxas said this is "normal"), so i have done the same thing that Baldy does.....NIMH mode with an alarm!!! problem solved.
Never mind i just found out which side is the BEC, through one of Jimmie Neutrons posts. All four cells are still at 3.7 ish volts when I plug them in to charge.
