They don't work. I have tried. The steel yokes are smaller than the hd shafts. They slop around way too much.
I'm sorry to say that the steel yokes will not work with the HD shafts. The size is just too different.
Ok Thanks for the idea about the spacers.
Thanks for the input. The Robinson spurs must be different than the traxxas ones because they don't seem to fit under the gear cover.
The 32p traxxas spur does not fit under the gear cover. Is the Robinson one built differently?
Is there any issues with running 32p and no cover?
I would like to know if anyone with a rustler vxl uses 32p gears and how they work for you. Do you bash with them or race? I know that the spur sticks out further so do you just run with no gear...
I run tires that were made for slash and I've had no problems.
With the proline did you have to modify anything to make it work with rustler?
I got one from Lowe's. The brand is General. Works good for me.
Take it to your lhs who participates in the power up program. You should be able to do a simple swap. Since you have stock xl-5 I suggest getting some wheel bearings as well.
Glow your inbox is full. Evil pm me price and pics too please.
Can you post a few pics or pm me
Still looking. Living in west Michigan if nearby I will drive to get.
Hi, I'm looking to buy a slash 2wd roller. I would like it to have everything needed to run except for motor, esc, wheels, and rx/tx as I have those already. Please pm or post pic's and prices. Thanks
I don't use any spacers or anything. Check them out for yourself.
Proline Split Six 2.2/3.0 Bead-loc wheels
Proline makes a 6 "bolt" beadloc wheel. It is made for the slash but I think they look just fine on rustler. I don't use them for speed just bashing. I did try to get the wheel to rip off, highest...
I use proline beadloc that have a red ring. I also use trenchers on that wheel for bashing around grass and dirt with my rustler, works great. I have not had any of the tires pull out of the rim with...
Taking apart the transmission is quite simple. You can find a you tube video about cleaning and greasing the transmission, following that will help you understand how to take it apart and put it back...
Is it the extending antenna? If so make sure it's all the way out.
I currently am running proline beadloc with trenchers on them that are meant for a slash. For bashing they are working great.
