Hi I've just gotten my rustler out after about 8 months or more of sitting, the steering is glitchey and the wheels wont turn very far to the right and don't seem to fully extend to the left either. ...
I'm 15 and I've been in the hobby for about two years I have spent around $700 of my own...
I use venom, I've had a lipo fall out at 30+ mph and get all beaten up because it wasn't secured and it still works great.
Winter GoPro adventure with the rustler
Your pinion is probably to close, you need to move it back some and you should be able to slide a strip of paper through the pinion and spur without the paper getting stuck.
I was wondering how I could attach my gopro hd to my rustler. Should I put it on the body or inside the car somehow?
I just ordered some PL paddle tires, where did you get ski's?
So I'm wondering what type of wheels I should use for running my rustler in snow and ice. And also any other upgrades that would be beneficial.
Alright thanks guys looks like I'll be getting badlands.
Hey guys I finally found myself a good on road tire setup but whenever I go off-road my pro-line bow ties take a good beating and they don't have to much traction. So should I get talons for major...

To me it all depends on how high the grass is because I've run 28/83 in short grass just fine but anything over short grass then I would gear lower.
I have a rustler but I can probably name a few good upgrades.
1. Aluminum Castor Blocks
2. Big Bore Shocks
3. RPM Bearing Carriers
4. RPM Rear Shock Tower
5. RPM Front Bumper
It looks like they just boost the voltage of your lipo I'm not sure if that could be a good or bad thing though. I've never seen one before but looks intresting.
28/83 maybe? I run mine with 2s over all terrain with that gearing. I think you should be fine with a 3s with 28/83 gearing.
Well good luck I wanted to make my rustler a 4x4 but I didn't have the time or the money. It probably would be easier to get a stampeded 4x4 and convert it into a rustler thought since there almost...
Oh and I decided on the traxxas part 3740 for the pins hopefully I'll be ok with the e-clips:thumbup: Should I by replacements just in case though?
Ok guys so I guess I will be getting the aluminium castor blocks thanks for all the help.
This is a sweet review now I want one its just that its so windy in Oklahoma.
I have big bores they are amazing great for jumping good choice.
Wow sweet find if I would have found out there was an rpm tranny case about 6 months ago I would have definitely got it!
So before I realized I broke the c-block and bent the pin I was having steering problems and the car would always go slightly left after trying everything. Could the broken c-block have been the...
