Fair nuff, already have a slash 4x4, just wanted some opinions people had about their rigs, think this is going to be my new rc of choice, looking for a good all around truck
So the time has come for a new RC, already have a short course and a truggy. So far the pede 4x4 is high on the list along with the e maxx and a few others, any opinions vs any other MT out there?
Hey everybody, finally unburied my rc gear and am looking to run. I was wondering if anyone knew about any off road tracks in the Austin Tx.area?
I ended up ditching my bead locks, they kept coming loose in high torque situations, I will admit though, they do look great
I've had switches on my slash for well over a year with hard running on various surfaces with my castle 3800 sidewinder setup and would say that they are great, they can seriously take a b eating
Sorry... meant to post this on the slash 4x4 page :p either way if any one has some info that would be greatly appreciated
Anyone ever try putting a Stampeded 4x4 on their slash 4x4? thinking about trying it out, I know there are minor differences in the chassis, but I think it might be crazy enough to work
Anyone ever try to put a a stampede body on their 4X4? I know they have a similar chasis with only slight differences, just curious, maybe thinking about a new project
Anyone know if that ESC mount would work for the sidewinder SCT ESC? right now mine is being held in with sip ties and i'd like mine to look like that
I'm using lipos, and I keep having issues with the cables coming loose
Getting sick of calling the venom help line, I don't even know what time this will be. I don;t know how but I keep blowing out wires on their batteries. anyone know a decent battery that's in the...
You've pretty much got it covered to start with the RPMS, my recommendation might be some new tires, the stock ones have a tendency to wear rather quickly mine only lasting about a month or so, maybe...
Where did you get it from?
I run that combo as well, well worth it. I was amazed at the speed and torque increases. You may want to look into upgrading to heavy duty sub axles considering that it started to twist my older...
if you're going to try reprogramming I'd recommend you get a castle link, makes the process substantially easier. I run that same set up in my 4x4 and if i'm not mistaken it says in the manual that...
Anyone by chance know of any tracks in central TX? preferably the Austin area, We'lll be moving back there later this year
I run the CC sidewinder SCT 3800, I'd give it my vote, loads of toque and easy to tweak with the castle link
Just a suggestion, you might want to switch to a 2s LIPO, yeah you may not get the break neck speed as a 3 s, but you can still go quick while saving wear and tear on your rig, you also might want to...
you could try adjusting you steering trim, this issue is more or less how the torque is distributed through the drive train
I toasted a motor doing that, be very wary of your temps
you mat also want to consider some RPM A-arms,they're a little pricier that the factory, but I put my slash 4x4 through the ringer on a regular basis and so far they are the one thing that refuses to...
It would turn ok while going slow, but when at speed the spring wasn't giving enough resistance to turn the bell cranks, I guess that's the best way i can describe it
was at my local track the other day and my steering went to absolute slop, I realized that my servo saver spring had worn out and replaced it, ever since it's been sluggish and not re-centering as...
Do you run a center dif? you can use it in conjunction with changing out the dif oil in your forward and rear and it will make it more front wheel drive
I had issues with my beadlocks as well, the tires kept popping off of them during fast maneuvering, I just cut my losses and got new wheels and glued them
