I'm guessing 2.8 Badlands would probably be my easiest/most economical choice.
You've run both the HCG and LCG chassis on this build correct?
My Slash is currently a LCG. Is it...
Do you think the 2.8 Proline Badlands wheels would clear the suspension?
And speaking of the Badlands...how was the performance compared to the Trepadors?
Another couple I'm considering are the...
Yeah I saw that one...oh well...the search continues.
Not trying to derail anything...but does anyone have a link to this build?
I considered the 2.2/3.0 Super Swampers...but got these premounted Trenchers for next to nothing.
I did have a set of Duratrax Pistol ST tires/wheels on it and they were pretty cool...but put them...
I'll look into that one. It's only $15 more and I do have room for the additional length
Been looking at the Poseidon 1717 can 1700kv motor.
Once I've gotten all I can out of it with the stock body then I'll swap to something more aerodynamic.
Hope you don't get bored with this...
I'm wanting to see how fast I can go with the stock body before replacing it(going to build a custom front spoiler/air dam using a Rally bumper as a start). I'll probably be ordering a set of GRP...
I bent the original driveshaft before I got it and replaced that one with a STRC shaft and the chassis brace.
It's survived much harder hits since with no consequences with the 3800kv...
Started out as a brand new Slash Ultimate, and has undergone several transformations along the way.
Here's how it sits currently and here's a list of the additions and future mods.
Honestly...almost too fast...even on 2s.
Honestly I actually liked the way it matched better when it had the Velineon combo in it(blue motor/esc). Had it been the 4 pole Velineon combo I wouldn't have swapped it out for the Castle combo.
I agree with you 100%. Like I said...the two Integy parts on mine are temporary.
As for a transmission case...I've seen some horrible Integy ones.
Had my internals not been near perfect,I would...
Trust me...if I hadn't gotten those two parts for free...they wouldn't be on there. In fact they will eventual be replaced with STRC pieces mainly because I'm OCD and they are the wrong color. The...
Yes with the body. That weight is RTR...including the added weight of the camera and mount.
With the GoPro and a 2s lipo it weighs 6lbs 3oz.
Decided to go a little nuts on a 2wd Slash build.
Here's the parts list...
Traxxas LCG chassis
Proline Flotek body
Proline Bow-Fighter tires
RPM front bumper
I had to move the lower shock mounts in one hole but other than that...they clear just fine.
Picked this up stock from a buddy and couldn't leave it that way.
It now has...
Proline Trencher 2.8's on Desperados
Traxxas wheelie bar
Traxxas 2075 servo
Traxxas Slash/Revo 32p slipper...
Did anyone ever find a solution for this?I've got this RX/TX sitting here collecting dust.
I'd like to get it fixed so I can reinstall it(and remove my Spektrum rx).
Wanting to sell the Slash...
I have it,a different brand stadium truck roller...and a bunch of tires/wheels,and a box full of old brushed race motors that I'm going to try and unload as a lot.
Polaris parts/upgrades are cheaper than Can-Am parts/upgrades by a long shot.
Just food for thought.
And for the record...I've been riding Honda ATC's/ATV's since the 70's and have never had a Honda manual shift transmission go bad.
For long time durability, you can't beat a Honda.
However...they have fallen far behind in the performance category.
The Renegade 1000 and Scrambler 1000 are so close it's pretty much a personal...
Pretty sure it's a Traxxas...but other than that I'm clueless.
