Something must be up with it. I just bought the merv brushless a few weeks ago and it rips even with one stock battery. It must be insane on lipo with the speed gear!
Sounds like my 2.5r I got off ebay. The truck and everything is in great shape, but I am guessing the motor is just junk. I can't keep it running for a full tank. The temps are fine and there aren't...
Sounds like it is cold. You may have to wrap the head a little to get the temps up, then when you get the temps up richen a little.
HG makes parts for the Sport, http://www.1hg.com/home/Indexnf.htm
213F sounds too rich. Take it leaner till you are around 240-260F.
I already asked and there is nothing that is a direct drop in. Most require major mods to make them fit, search on Google for four stroke revo in the video section. I heard it is an O.S. .52cc
300k might be a little easier to work with also, 500k is such a mess!
I don't think you can overfill them. When you are putting the big diff gear back on the inner diff the extra oil comes out the screw holes and then you know it's full! Maybe they can be too full, but...
Really? I was binding my new DX 3.0 and had the tx like 5 inches away from the rx on my new race Revo and there wasn't any glitching what so ever. I tried it after the binding was done and still...
O.S. 18 tm would be sweet! What engine do you have now? If it is the old Pro .15 then you are going to need a kit to put the newer style 2.5r and 3.3 engines in. Traxxas sells the complete kit, there...
Sounds like you have a robot servo, the only way to fix it would be to get a regular 180 degree servo.
With the Spektrums, they say you pretty much can't have any interference with the 2.4ghz systems.
Failsafes are cheap and would prevent this I would look at getting one when you get it running again.
They use the same diffs so you can change the oil on both.
The close two-speed would help if you are getting wheelies beteen your 1-2 shift, otherwise stay with the wide ratio for more topend.
Anyone try any of Acer Racing's bearings yet? Just wondering if they are any better than the others.
15/36 and a close ratio 2-speed should help a bunch.
Get the vented disk from Traxxas and do the spring mod so you can run more brake without the pads dragging. That should be more than enough brake.
I use Trinity's Nitro Blast. It works very well and doesn't harm any finish that I have seen yet. It also leaves no residue for dirt to stick to again.
Ouch!! No saving that one!
I would guess a broken reverse gear in there. They are weak and tend to go first.
No, it's very hard to get it all out. I was using Nitro Blast at first to start the process, then I had to switch to degreaser, then I was using ear swabs to get the last bit out.
Yeah, that stuff is pricey! And you don't even get a full bottle of it! I hope I don't have to mess with it again, it's a pain to clean the 100k out and slop the 500k back in.
I would run it on a 2.5 or the 3.3 chassis.
Looks great! I am currently building a racer from the ground up and will post pics when there is someting more to look at. But yours is looking good
