Has anyone tried 11/55 and will they fit? Traxxas doesn't sell smaller than a 16T pinion.
Swapped the tranny. It's definetely noiser now. I did put it together correctly, so oh well....
I see it's geared with the stock 16/50. If I put on a 55T spur how small a...
I got the truck in a trade. i realize it's probably not optimal with a VXL for a 3 year old. ;)
Now I have the truck in training mode but it's still a bit too fast for my son. I hope with the...
Excellent. I will. Thanks. :)
Bought a 1/16 Summit vxl for my 3 year old son. Running it on 2s in training mode. Still a bit too fast for him now. What's the lowest I can go (gearing) to get the lowest speed possible?
Cool, guys. Thanks for the inputs. :)
vxlrocket > Nice playing ground you have there.
Yes, you could argue that. Both SSC and T-RCE have very low ground clearance and to me that makes them not suited for hardcore bashing. But light bashing? Sure. Just trying to set your expectations...
Do a Google search for "t-rce ssc lcg comparison". Lots of good results. <_<
You can bash the T-RCE kit. No problem. I just wouldn't do it myself for the reason I mentioned before. :p
Getting a LCG kit makes the Slash a whole different car. I couldn't believe how much of a...
I recommend getting the Tekno RC Big Bone Center Driveshaft and Outdrives (#TKR6855):
I also recommend getting the Tekno rear RC M6 Driveshafts...
The arms? Read this thread: http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread.php?8947834-TeamRCE-have-a-new-a-arm-design
The old arms could bend it seemed, but the new, and very beefy arms, shouldn't have...
Cool. You won't regret buying it. It's difficult to explain exactly how nice this kit is. Are you getting towers and arms too?
I'm sure you could make some solution to that problem. It's this open:
Correct. That IS a problem and I had pictures of a completely destroyed spur gear earlier from just a few minutes of driving on gravel. However, this kit is designed for the track.
Just remember; this is a race kit, *not* a basher kit. The low ground clearance and open construction makes it no-go for bashing (in my experience). But it's a whole new car and handles totally...
Yup, many of the old pictures are deleted. Starting from post #17 is my new project (the second T-RCE I'm building). :)
Snowstorm355 > I started my upgrade project:
I've started my second T-RCE build. List of parts so far:
T-RCE LCG Carbon Fiber Conversion Kit (#SL44-LCGKIT)
T-RCE A-arms (#SL44-AA)
T-RCE Adjustable Front Shock Tower (#SL44-FST)
Sounds good. Stay on 3s. Two sets of wheels would do the truck good; one set for on-road and one set for bashing. I recommend Pro-line.
What have you done to strengthen the driveline to be able to handle that sort of power?
From the product picture you have both drive cups and output shafts too choose from. You can build the diffs any way you like:
Never ran - sold it. Couldn't get myself to scratch it after building. Was a great project though.
It's been finished for a while but here are some more pics:
