Been a while, but figured it was time to update this conversion. Was done ages ago but it's been winter so didn't get much use.
It's now your run of the mill FLM and RPM build. ...
Not exactly plug n play, you do need to move the esc to fit the motor. I bought the yeah racing esc mount which worked a treat
Bringing this back from the dead to see some video!
Just ordered this combo, will let you all know how it goes. What pinion would you recommend to start? 3s with motor fan
Just buy a slash ultimate instead? the xo1 isnt really suited for off road, it has been done but for the same money you'll have a beast of a slash
Hi josh, proline desperado wheels with half inch offset and trenchers are popular. All round tire is difficult, as off road tires tend to wear out quickly on tarmac. Check out the new duratrax range,...
Hi el sob, sorry I run in km/h and did conversion wrong.. I hit 95km/h before it shredded = 59mph.
All standard gear apart from trenchers on beadloc and new bearings.
I had replaced the stub axles already, and it still wobbled. I ran it anyway, knowing I was gonna have to replace all driveshafts anyway due to 3s.
3rd drive by and driveshaft stripped...
Hi all, how you can help me.
When my car is up on blocks, no wheels touching the ground the right rear has a distinct wobble. This is at low speed.
I've balanced the wheels, and it has new...
That is the best/simplest explanation I have seen for gearing and brushless motors.
I've Got an FLM motor mount and steel centre driveshafts on order.

Thanks Jezza, I didnt know that. Will add to wishlist.
Thanks emaxxb! Ive got a reasonable 1amp charger and 2 2s batteries from my slash, might buy two 3s's to switch between them..
So, after two engines and a lot of frustrations I've had enough and am converting!
Final straw was when I bought a slash, the Tmaxx 2.5 hasnt been used since.
What I would like is...
Awesome thanks guys for feedback!!!
Both listed by same seller, different prices?
Is the 1258 waterproof?
Is this the equivalent waterproof model ...
I do appreciate the advice, and before any new servo goes in I'll loosen the bellcrank further, I thought I had with the last one, but obviously not!
Yeah I know for the first one, but I adjusted it before installing second one. Maybe loosen even more? To be honest Elsob I'll look for any excuse to upgrade :)
I bought a set of new factory wheels and tires from dollarhobbyz for bashing on tarmac.
Decided to dye them before using, and I think they turned out pretty well!
Baked them in the oven to remove...
Hi peeps, so since upgrading the steering bellcrank to the STRC version, I've gone through two 2075's.
First one as my fault I had the servo saver wound too tight. Second one was landing bad on...
Hi Sean, just Parma masking tape, and lots of time :)
Thanks for the kind word guys, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out
Freshly painted RPM raptor body with new exhaust tips :)
And I'm done. Took it for ride today, trenchers are so much better than standards! ...
