Check out the traxxas big bores, they are cheaper and a lot of people have had great success with them. 2650 is an awesome motor. Don't know about the roll cage.
The Parma red servo tape works great super strong and peels off in one piece when you need to swap it. Good choice on the iron. Love mine. It makes a solid joint in a matter of seconds when tinned...
I have the strc aluminum bellcrank and its sloppy too. Seems like it was that way from the beginning.. Sorry not much help but you are not alone!
Interesting fix and it looks like will do the job. Let us know how it holds up.
Check out the steering bellcrank, maybe it its tweaked.
I've had MIP xtra city's for 5 years. They tear through diffs like nothing else I've seen. If I were to do it over I would get the mip race duty or the teknos. Personally after owning 2 other brand...
Look at the HW xr8. A lot of racers are putting these in 1/8 in truggys and buggys. They are new so time will tell if their reliable. I have 2 HWsctpro and two tekin rx8g2 and prefer the tekin....
You can always use the stock servo until it goes but i would look at the 1268 savox. Of the sw8 has programmable bec You can run it at 7.4v for 347oz torque and .11 ms speed. I use one in my 1/8...
I use 60/40 on many connectors, motors, esc, batteries. Good stuff. Some flux helps. Don't cheap out on an iron. Track Power makes a good one for $80. Never failed me.
HW SCT Pro ESC and HW 3656sd 4000kv motor. Sweet combo for under $200
What ESC are you using?
Consider the Hobbywing 3656sd (4000kv) it's a great motor I have one in my sct410 tons of torque and runs super cool. Also don't be afraid to check out the SMC SC motor. I have a 4300 Pro4HD and its...
I have a Hobbywing 3656sd (4000kv) motor is great for racing on 2s and occasional 3s. Torque monster, sensored, and runs super cool. Another option is the smc 4500kv, no personal experience but good...
54÷13=4.15 vs vs50÷18= 2.77 ratio. The lower the final number the higher the top end speed is.
You can just remove the upper part of the bumper. You will still have the smaller scoop to protect a little
Add Center diff and Proper tires for conditions and that should get you started. Suprised there are no tekno sct410s on your track. They blow Losi and AE away for perf and durability.
Tough to say but could end up being about half (usually less) of what you have into it. You might consider splitting it up like battery and controller. If the charger is good you'll want to keep,it...
I like the eb48 body I have an EB48SL and an EB48.2 the .2 I recognized the body right away. Very nice build!
3s is 3 cell lipo battery.
Mip is Moore's Ideal Products. They make axles for the slash.
I decided to keep it I have 5 other RCs but 4 of them are track queens so this will be my main basher. Putting in my sct Pro esc and castle 2650.
I would email HR to make sure they have tested these with the model of MIP axles that you have. Unless others here have done it you might face some unforseen issues. Good luck!
New tires and wheels
I added the 2.8 trenchers and a WP savox servo. I kinda like the hybrid look might stick with this body and wing for now. Next up motor and esc install
I ran standard 1/8 dish wheels on my slash and no issues. They are not really that much bigger than the sc tires maybe a tad taller and a bit narrower but the difference is negligible. The difference...
