Another thing to watch for is the pinion gear wearing , cuping and getting sharp on the teeth points. I had my pinion ,a 14T RR steel on wipe out the spur after approx. 150 runs with a MM 5700 and 3...
The GP 3300 have been discontinued so most Radio Shacks will not have them
They will work for Transmitters and receivers (nitro trucks) but not to power an electric. They do not supply (hold) volts under lad well as they have very high internal resistence. They are designed...
First thing I wore out was my rear tires. Mine has over 300 runs on it and I am still running the original stock, carriers, bushings and stub axles. Yes they have a lot of play in them but with a...
I am running 14:87 on a 5700 and a 3 cell A123 battery which is more volts.
9 minutes of hard running motor 165F ,ESC 115F and battery 125F. 2200 plus mAh pulled from battery.
I just completed 3 back to back runs / charges in just over 1 -1/2 hours using a single pack. Once again highest battery temp. 125F while motor reached 165F. ESC 115F.
The A123 cells were developed and tested for use in cordless power tools, Hybrid Cars and many applications where they are in more or less constant use.
They have not been in use by RCers long...
My A123 is at 125F at the end of most runs. By the time I remove the body nd battery and step inside the battery is approx. 110F I start the charge at 8-8.35A . 20 minutes later the battery is charge...
With 3 cell A123 speeds / power are insane. I am running 14:87 gearing with the 5700 and it is still to fast for all but extremely smooth surfaces.
I dial the punch to 30% and it still whellies and...
A123 3 cell compared to 6 cell GP3300
A123 3 cell discharge graphs
I run a 3 cell A123 pack in my Rustler. It is geared 14:87 and it reaches approx. 35-40 MPH which is fast for a semi-smooth / rough yard.
I get 9 min. run times with the hamer down most of the...
Just use the plug. I removed Optidrive and sensor and just sealed over the hole with tape and goop.
Engine head bumps change the gear mesh and break motor mounts.

I am running 18 year old Red Max 15% Heli fuel that has been stored in an unheated uncooled shop. It runs great in my 3.3.
First you strip the chrom off with EZ-Off oven cleaner or Greased Lightening and then
I have flown fuel over 25 yerars old. I am using 18 year old Red Max Heli 15% in my Revo 3.3 at the present time.
It all depends on the quality of the fuel and how it is stored.
I made a pre filter and it works great.
I did not want a Wing so my solution was a very simple DIY roll bar.
I have used a bunch of different fuels but my favorite for my son's 2.5 Rustler and my 3.3 Revo is Backyard Basher manufactured by Morgan Fuel.
It is 20% Nitro and the engine is easier to tune...

The ERZ-Start reduces the voltage to the glow plug to approx. 1.7 volts and fo rhtat reason the glowplug is much hotter than it is when a seperate glow iginiator is used as they supply only approx....
12 volts would be to much IMO. I first used a GP 3300 6 cell in my EZ-Start. It worked extremely well and most of the time I only charged it about once every 10 dyas or so with daily use. I did...
A very recent Thread on this very subject.
