Ive read that with the center diff, its impossible to pull wheelies, which makes it good for keeping the front tires on the ground.
Im also thinking that if i race more, im going to want to put the center diff and rear brake in. I noticed that my truck lacks steering authority.
Ok. im running the P2 rockers. Raced this weekend and realized how much smaller it was than the new revos.
So the driveshafts and pushrods stay the same?
What all is needed to switch over to the extended A arms??
Will I need a longer center driveshaft? Will the receiver boxes fit?
I am still running my 2.5 chassis and i have a friend willing to sell me an extended chassis. What has to be done to the truck to accommodate for the extra length? Whats the deal with the chassis...
I put the 50K in both the front and back but I haven't ran it since I rebuilt the diffs. Good luck with yours!
After I got my front diff put back together and then turned the driveshafts and there was a catch in the gears, so i took the thing back out again and had to keep tightening down the ring gear to the...
The Revo and Summit Chassis are pretty much the same.
I had to let mine sit for quite awhile because I put the 50K oil in.
I don't think that the U joint come off the shaft. As far as you'll get it taking the yolk out.
+1 on the Summit body. Just buy the clear body and don't use the exo cage.
Well, I took the spool back and just bought another rebuild kit. The rear diff is completely redone and I'm waiting for the bubbles to come out in the oil for the front.
Can anyone else second the motion to not use the diff spool? I do quite a bit of on road driving.
Also, when I took the diffs apart, there wasn't really liquid left inside, it was more of a gel.
Went to the LHS today and picked up a few parts. Got all new bearing for both diffs. A rebuild kit for the rear. The guy said that it would be good to lock the front end so I got one of those diff...
So, which kit is the right one? Which grease do I use on the gears?
Does anyone have the part number for the diff rebuild kit?
Thanks. I'll have to try that tomorrow with mine provided it's not raining. I do seem to notice as how the tank progresses, it gets leaner.
So it's best to tune on half a tank of fuel? Don't quite get the idea behind that.
How do you replace the diff oil? Would I need to clean all the gears and the case before putting new oil in?
What all would one need to upgrade to moving up to a 3.3 chassis?
Do you need the extended chassis in order to use the center diff and rear brake?
