ebay auction is your best bet
Is there a reason we are talking big block when the OP said quote
"Frankly I'm completely happy with the Stock brushless motor"
Buy an SV3 and be done - my 2 cents
The stock motor runs great with the SV3 - its what i run (been pushing 3S lipo for a while now, no issues at al)
either one on the left of the above picture - if your going for a color -
My advise is this - the rustler will be easier to drive (especially on pavement) the Merv is so fast for its size that it takes skill to keep it on its wheels (flipping it over is easy, both in...
My merv rips through cut grass no problem 4 to 5" is too much though - its just a product of ground clearance - if you want to drive over bigger obstacles then get a bigger car - I find that not...
IMO you really cant compare the 2. the MERV is small, compact and crazy fast on 3S lipo (like standing back flips kind of fast).
The rustler is bigger (drives over stuff way easier) - it is fast...
they are not the same size - the rustler is quite a bit bigger - and 2 wheel drive. Parts and batteries are more expensive for the rustler too. it all depends on what you want - for me, the 4 wheel...
If you have been on this forum for any length of time, you know that the T-Bone system solves 90% of all breakage issues due to crashing :)
nope - plastic since day one
aftermarket metal gears are available if your big block 4S is tearing them up
I still think my idea is the best option :)
you can also flip the top 2 gears in the transmission - cuts speed by 50% - This plus training mode = super slow - however your stuck with slow for yourself too.
my vote: - pick up a second vxl...
gearing, tires, terrain, batteries, driving style - all needed to assess if you should be too hot to touch after 15min
get the savox and dont look back :)
if you just want a body - there are literately tons of panted and unpainted bodies specifically for the 1/16 traxxas trucks on e bay just type in "1/16 body" - over 750 listings - you'll find one...
I RVTed mine - small pain when you need to get back in to them but when I do - clean as a whistle :)
