Im in San Diego and I watch craigslist for a 150 dollar slash everyday. I know 2 people who want a good deal on a stock slash.
Good stuff.. I wonder if it will become a sticky. Hope so
That is a bummer.. I would feel the same way.
Yep.. YOU WILL BE HAPPY with NIMH and brushless. No need to go lipo. Granted IF you do go lipo, you might notice a longer runtime and maybe a bit more punch over 7 cell. And definately will...
I use 7 cells and 15/86 works good for dirt. With higher traction, it gets hot at this gearing so go even lower if you drive on-road a lot.
Bow Ties in rear and Edge in front.
Not really good to rev the motor up with no load.
As long as you dont get over 160 then your ok.
Under gearing a motor wont hurt it. Over gearing will get it hot and eventually burn it up... but under gear (small pinion)will be nice and easy on the motor.

Yep, like stated, get yourself a set of hardened steel tools and end stripping of screws forever. I have used OFNA tools and really like them.
I would use the highest temp you get as your reading.
186 is kinda hot!
Charge at 1c like 2IS talked about. If you charge hot (high amps), your batteries will discharge with more power for less time. If you charge cool (low amperage) then your batteries will have less...
My 5 year old really likes it! He said, "Look Daddy, its the Ben 10 car, but its a slash!" Good job. He will really like it.
Which one did you get pengwin?
Thats rad!! Your right, I was looking for the mistake, but had to read what you said to get it. Very original! I like it!
I posted in the other thread, but Ill say it again... Awesome track!
Funny... the lhs around here closes on Sunday and Monday. I used to have a job and only have sundays available to play. So when I broke parts, I couldnt go to the lhs, I learned to save by buying...
I think what he was trying to say is that your pinion looks HUGE and probably a very high ratio. If so, then you will experience very hot motor temps.
Or maybe didnt charge enough. Weird. but your happy.
Very cool!! looks 8th scale friendly...................even monster trucks. Daaaannnnngggg
You guys dont remember them posting this about a month ago? You guys must not be true forum junkies like me.
It is very cool tho.
50wt oil all around. 1 big spacer in back and no spacers in front for rideheight.
Dont try to get it to not bottom out. IT WILL ALWAYS BOTTOM OUT! who cares. Let it ride low and bottom out.
Nice!!!! Thanks for updating. The first picture makes my jaw drop.
