you can shim the stock diffs and use 1:1 axle grease. You will get more traction off the line but still have the limited slip in the turns
pretty cool vid, I will have to try the second step of what they did to the crank where they cut a bunch of teeth into it. I will have to play around with that
Interesting concept, I am assuming the locking diff's use a servo to control them correct? that would be pretty cool to be able to lockout your rear diff on command
your best bet would be to buy a crank off fleabay. I have ported /polished a few of these motors and i can tell you it is alot of trial and error without proper tools but it DEFINATELY is very...
truly amazing work and effort you have pt into this. I can't wait to see the final results
will a summit body fit on a T-maxx? anyone know?
there are 3 main types of superchargers (blowers, huffers are pet names for them LOL)
you have the roots style blower: it sits atop the motor and air is pressurized by a single blade in the...
The only way that a supercharger/turbocharger would work efficently is to have a closed combustion chamber. a 1:1 vehicle has valves that close off the combustion chamber during the compression...
So I mocked up and mounted my OFNA violator tank. I noticed it bairly clears the spur gear (but does clear it) I was wondering how to orient the servo. I am thinking front to back with the servo head...
I run a 3.3, 2.5R, 2.5 and a ported (by me) 2.5R :D
get it up to a good temp before tuning. I haven't had to wrap the head but it wouldn't hurt just to get the temps up
I have all 3 engines 2.5 2.5R and 3.3
the 2.5 does run hot at least mine runs around 250-260 however, I have torn the motor apart and do not see signs of a lean condition. tuning seems relatively...
looks like it had an air leak, the piston and sleeve look very pitted. I'd say its done
I love the T maxx, I have done a few amature races at a track...nothing remotely sanctioned or really that organized. half the fun was trying to get my maxx to hang or beat the revo. now mind you we...
what happened ?!! I thought it was running good
I'd say spur gears, a few glow plugs, maybe an A-arm or 2
- I actually broke a front bulk,a arm and shock tower+ bent two shock shafts. I hit a 2X4 out in the dirt at full speed.
As for good...
Your thread is kind of hard to understand but I will try to give it a shot.
1. you want the A-arms parallel to the ground, adjust your shocks accordingly
2. I personally do not like dual rate...
-what can I say ...bought a motor off of him, it was better than expected and for a great price. Communication and shipping were great!
I highly recommend him.
Yea I figured it out, I was using a very cheap all purpose drill bit. I actually busted out my tianium nitride coated steel bits. and went through it like butter. :D
any particular drill bit for this.
I am not having much luck with my multipurpose bits
are you talking about a reciever pack ?
+1 on the traxxas resinator pipe. the dual chambered one gives monsterous tq to the 3.3 I run the blue tuned pipe on my 2.5R
The OFNA Tank has a nice sump built into it. I haven't installed mine yet but it looks like a huge improvement over stock
