Here are some facts on range 3 pm-x 1764'
traxxas link 840'
All respectable ranges and have different...
Thanks man, actually the truck drives great.
It helps keep the car straight, I have them on all my cars and have for years. I would suggest them to people. Yes the deltaplastic jaguar body is great. strong body with no reinforcement.
thanks man.. lets get yours ready
looks good man
Futaba 3pm-x is what i use. a little over what you wanted to spend but with tower coupon and free shipping not too much. One of the longest range radios.
Yeah it has came a long way. fast and stable. great platform for speed. i think 150 is my goal for the slash.
I have them mounted on the sides of the chassis. 1 on each side.
I would go with a mm2 2650 combo. plenty of power even on 3s and can be geared for speed also.
Check it out. not my fastest pass but trying a different motor out. check it out and sub.
The smooth can that comes with the sidewinder 8 is a 1515b, the heatsink motor is a 1515. Here is what patrick posted on another site about the difference of the two.
"Well, for example, the 1515...
I would opt for the 1527 over the 1717 if it were me. the 1717 uses 4mm screws also. just my opinion.
I would suggest a delta plastik 2mm body(no fiberglass needed). A castle xl2( with extra caps added). grp tires. your list looks good.. maybe a leopard 4082 motor, a sss motor of same size or longer...
I have a slash i speed run. i use a deltaplastik 2mm thick jaguar body. solid body and provides good downforce. I run revo springs all around also.
they are heavy though.
I've seen iffy report on the alien esc.some do ok with them some not so much. I would go with a mamba x or a mamba xl x..
best advice i can give is lower the front lower than rear(a littlle angle) and run a stick 1/8gt body. run the best lipo you can and roll onto the throttle easy over a long road. I've hit 123mph with...
I just bought that same body a few days ago.
same here! went right in with no mods needed.
Only prob. with buying from a chopshop is if something happens their is no warranty in most cases.
Posiedon motors are pretty good. I run a 1717 1700kv in a speed run car on 8s and no complaints.. Actually thinking of buying another the 1527.. just my opinion. also come with a 1 yr warranty.
Nice looking trailor..
I just picked up a hitec 5645 for mine. the 646 would be a good choice if running in wet conditions.
here is a shot of the slash as it sits now. changed rear toe to 2 deg, changed rear springs to revo also. upped gearing...
