I went to this race several years ago and had a great time. One of the most memorable races I've been to actually.
The Blue Eagle was my first Traxxas vehicle back in the day. At the time we offered different spring rates so any setup help I could try to remember likely wouldn't help much. :) Slayden did an...
Fishydude, I feel your pain I know what it's like to wait on a part. Typically we try and get all the parts out at the same time as the product releases, if not before. Every once in a while with a...
Wow, smoking deal. Best advice is to watch the DVD first. After you're done watch it again. :) Seriously though, take your time with the break in and it will all come back to you.
I love my KTM 300....almost as much as my CR250. :)
Be sure to stop by and say "Hi". Looking forward to going to NY. It's going to be a fun summer!!!
When was the last time we followed what the market was doing?
Not much longer... :)
This thread is so far off topic I have locked it. If you want to discuss how a sway bar works feel free to start a new one.
Please do so without the condescending tone and remarks that seem to be...
I think I have a pretty good grasp on what a sway bar is and how it effects handling. A swaybar does not have to lift the tire up that much to have the desired effect on a RC vehicle. In fact unless...
This sounds more like a setup issue then the tires. Most of the guys here have been running the platinum tires and wheels since they came in. Yes, there are some tracks that another tire may be a...
I think there is a bit of misinformation in this post. Yes, the swaybars will fit (I have them on mine). The turnbuckles are adjustable so they do not contact the transmission case. If you want red...
Got both of you beat. Did mine on Tuesday night ;)
You guys are going to love the new shocks. They feel awesome on the truck and can't wait to try them out at the track.
Kgombe, you need part 5153R to use the constant-velocity driveshafts with the swept back arms.
I've always done the opposite and run heavier oil in the summer and lighter in the winter. In both extremes the variance in my shock oil is about 10WT.
Now I'm going to put one in the Sledge just for fun :)
I want to do one in the Fiero also.
Why go XL5 when we can go VLX. I think it's time to throw out the challange and see who can build the fastest retro. I know my TCP or TRX 1 will be getting one soon.
Yes, they will work with the ext arms. However, you will need part 5133R to use them.
No, they will not interchange they use a cup design at the axle.
I set them up so at the normal right height the wires is pretty much straight up and down.
I guess I didn't describe that very well. What I meant was there are too many variances with what one person may be running to another person to give a description of how far the arm should go up...
Atmo, I assume when you describe lifting one wheel off the ground and checking the other arm movement you are doing so with the wheels and shocks off? I know in onroad there are too many variances to...
Cool to see Derek around here. If he doesn't mind you guys might ask him to post his swaybar setup. One of the cleanist and simpliest setups I have seen thus far. I stole a lot of what I did from his...
Goingbroke is correct. It is the suspension travel 90mm and 120mm.
P3 is a 90-T where as the LT setup is 120-T. The P3 is more progressive then a P2 to further reduce body lean and brake dive.
There are a couple of great tracks in the area. Johnny Cool Guy (or JCG) is in the Hurst area and is an awesome outdoor track (www.johnnycoolguy.com) or you can check out Indy in Garland which is an...
