Yep a 13/54 gear would be good and then if your motor/ESC temps are reasonable go to a 14/15 pinion and keep an eye on your temps:thumbup:
What motor and ESC you running?....also what batteries are you using?...makes it easier to know and give an opinion.:thumbup:

MM2 ESC.....castle creation 1512 2650kv motor...on 20/54 gearing running 3s batteries:thumbup:
Just try it and keep checking your motor/ESC Temps....if still to hot lower the pinion :thumbup:
Yes you will lose acceleration if you larger pinion gears

I've read that 3s is it's sweet spot..and I run mostly on 3s which is great for me and my son..I have run on 4s occasionally and it's awesome power:D

I would start at 18 for general usage and then go up for speed....this is what I run on my slashes using the same motor as yourself.....that's using 3s lipo's...:D

I have a set of boca bearings in one truck and a set of avid's in my sons truck and to be honest you I can't tell the differance...apart from the cost difference......but I only bash and trash...
Mod 1 means that 1 tooth is 1mm on the gear. So a 24T gear has a 24mm circumference.
Mod 1 can be useful if you want lower (more heavy) gearing ratios. It can handle more power due to the bigger...
I followed viperZ tip on compressing the spring.....it works a treat.....
