I only run sand paws , I have sand where I bash . I love them because they last forever and don't balloon.
Rear toe is a must with big power. I run a light weight 4s battery and 1/8 motor. In order to track straight I needed the tsm / rear toe. I have and film gearbox with 4 degrees, sorry no pic

Save yourself time and money and just torch the stocks gears it really works fine. There is a video on you tube with someone doing the same thing to output shafts.
I run paddles tires to which puts lots of stress on the gears for sure
I just heated the stocks ones. I even had plumbers puddy in the diff at one point
I did my own get a torch and heat them until red dip in water do this twice. Mine have lasted for a year or so on 4s
Get a traxxas funny car motor and a small 4s lipo , you ll have power for days
Also metal driveshafts r heavy. My hot racing carbon steel ones weighted 100 grams lots of stress on the diff

Get an 1/8 scale motor runs cooler more torque. Use the cover and put tape around the gear cover. 32p gears for sure

I have a 4s slash i love for sand bashing with small 1/8 scale motor. It runs soo cool even in the summer
Use the dremel cut wheel i just had to last night on a new set of hot racing driveshafts. Just stick to plastic driveshafts

Get aluim gearbox and gear to 83/28 on 3 s its perfect fast right on the edge of 150 degree temps
get a 1/8 motor , it will run cooler and can run 4 s lipos, proline sand paws, get some bushings for the wheels ditch the wheel bearings they dont last long even the avids , run a loose slipper,...
take the boots off, buy some 1/2 inch heatshrink and heatshrink over the pins and then cut the extra off, it works great!
im using a 4s lipo with a crazy motor that maybe y. :)
