Out of the three your comparing, I would go with the Traxxas battery. It should be equal in performance to the other batteries, but provide a little longer run time.
Hope this helps.
+1 on the RPM carriers. If you bash, you may want to stay away from aluminum. The plastic RPM uses is really resilient and really hard to break.
No. When I first ran the body it rubbed a little in fast turns. Since I have run it for a while now the body has worn away a tad and it does not rub anymore.
Thanks for the input. It is not the shafts. I have been driving this truck for a year like it is with a velineon setup with no issues. The only thing that has changed is the MMP setup.
It is not the Ultimate and yes I have MIP's front and rear.
I have a question about the MMP 2400. I just installed one in my Slash 4x4 and geared 17/54 on 4s. Before 1/2 throttle it shutters violently and you can hear the drivetrain almost snap. I put it up...
12/54 stock velineon with 2.8 trenchers. Temp never gets above 140. Running several 2s packs.
Shoe goo is great for this repair. You can find it at shoe repair places or big retailers. You can buy some plastic body washers and shoe goo them into place for extra reinforcement.
Titanium turnbuckles are really tough.
I love those wheels! What kind are they? Do you have a part number. Those are definitely going on my other project Sl4sh.
I run AKA adapters and have been pleased with them. They are anodized and tough. The Traxxas ones look awesome, but they were not available when I bought the AKA's
+1 for correct gearing. If you gear it correctly you will not need a heatsink or fan. Also pinion gears are under 5 bucks, a little cheaper than a heatsink and fan.
I use a tywrap around the motor and through the heatsink.
Great video! What camera are you using?
You could try and rebind your transmitter and receiver by following the instructions in your manual, but I had this same problem with both of my 1/16 Summits and both turned out to be servo failures....
That is a great idea using the shaft and bearing adapter like a bearing puller!
PM sent. I will take the Velineon setup! Send paypal info to me.
I would stick with plastic hexes. They are cheap compared to buying new rims. The aluminum hexes could possibly round out the rim. I would do what El Sob suggested and glue a hex into the rim if it...
You may have stripped wheel hexes. Pull the rims off and look at the rims and hexes. They may not look completely rounded out, but may be just round enough to slip.
Cogging is usually noticeable at lows speeds and is a jerking or stuttering sensation of the motor. Hope this helps some. I am curious to what the problem with your truck is. Keep us posted if you...
You definitely want to gear down with bigger tires. Possibly 9t or 11t pinion. To me it sounds more like a motor or gearing problem(Just by watching and hearing the video). Also the...
