i love the fact the tires got soo big the truck rolled a little when it was upside down!
but i still need to know if those are the gears for the 4x4? i need a whole set that fit on the center
mod 0.8 = 32p?
who knows if traxxas has released the mod 0.8 pinions that the 4x4 uses? and will they release several different tooth numbers, or have they been used in other cars?
is mod 0.8 the...
i would say don't buy them yet!
the 4x4 (part number that starts with 6) axles are still weaker than the 2wd (of this i am positive), and will be until they get their new batch in a few weeks. . ....
double post, sorry:o
If you had one bend and stay bent, you should send it back to RPM:p
RPM is great because they bend like wet noodles, but always snap back into place like it has a memory, and should you break one...
the track i race on is very similar. i am at 40/30 in the shocks, 30,000 in the CD, stock oil in the FD and 7000 in the RD - - may need slight changing for the lower traction track.....works great...
air flow will be key...... 3s should not affect heat to the point of too hot, if at all, 4s will probably be the same.........at least in my testing
make sure your motor is geared correctly for...
i agree with the above:)
LiFe cells are rather new, and are not to generic in the RC scene, making support more difficult, and the cells can get pricey
Lipo cells are .2 volts higher rated...
you must be careful with fans,
if you power them straight from the battery, you are limited to 6 cell NiMh or 2s Lipo
If you power it from the receiver, the 3m wont power very much of a fan...
slash......moneys on that, assuming it is tweaked and setup -
traxxas + $$ = futaba license
futaba license + traxxas factory = on-site manufacturing/assembly
on-site manufacturing/assembly = no 3rd party and associated markup / better parts availability
i thought the red rings on the MIP's would be questionable....
anyone heard of anything stronger?
do MIP slash 2x4 CVD's fit on the rear of the 4x4? i have not had time to do the measuring............no more bent axles!
mostly, my post was aimed towards the "handling problems" that he says he is having at high speeds - a center diff will help hep the car even under turning, acting against the pushing
what surface and amount of traction are we dealing with here? that can be a determining factor:
Just as a general diagnosis, thin your center diff fluid by half or more (50,000 weight or lower)
just get a slightly hotter motor - such as a 540 can 4100kV - the MMM will do nothing but suck on batteries, add weight, and eat your drive train alive
that is why i was asking - - it supposedly can be done but have never seen anything of it
This is probably a dumb question to some, but i have never had any Traxxas electronics:
Is the rectangular port on the front of the ESC case a plug for a sensor wire on a sensored brushless motor?...
i don't know why you say it does not handle that well - - IMO it is great and VERY stable  :)
Center diff is amazing.....
More on-power steering, more breaking steering, less tire spin.
Comes with oil that is a little too thick for high traction surfaces
Great, so he has a brand new VXL and batteries with a melted, modern art style truck. . . . . .thats not cool:p :o
that definitely first and if that doesn't help, try thinning the center diff oil some
if you start looking now, you will probably find an insane deal on this stuff before the white stuff gets here - - - - i'd check EvilBay first:)
"According to the state of California, traxxas may cause excessive eye soreness, lack of patience, excessive checking of the computer, a deflated wallet, and, of course, cancer" - - a letter from the...
