I wish Traxxas would make a 4x4 version of all their vehicles. I know it might not be realistic, but I would love to have a line of trucks (and buggys) that are 4WD and only require ONE battery. ...
I just hope Tower offers this with their Easy Pay program. Little easier on me when it's not $350-$400 all at once. Either that or I'm getting a roller off ebay. I already have an MX3 FHSS radio...
I would love to see a roller or "pre-built" version! I would also like to see 4wd versions of the Rustler, Bandit, and Stampede. ;-)
I found out that the IMEX 2.8 rims fit together perfectly with Proline 30 series tires. No modding required.
Proline also makes 30 series Badlands, which are excellent for offroad. I also like them better than Dirt Hawgs.
Front electric and rear nitro are the same offset. Same exact wheel.
Wow. Happy B-day! I just celebrated my wife's yesterday. Had to make her feel old.:D
At least they won't unexpectedly come apart when you're driving. When I was using powerpoles, they would always pop apart when landing a particularly high jump. Don't get me wrong, powerpoles are...
Looks like an E-maxx modified for military use.
This is what I use:
I just took that info directly from the Traxxas product page for the VXL-3 ESC.
Look towards the bottom of the page.
So the VXL-3 provides 200A continuous current and the Mamba Max provides 100A. Am I to assume that the VXL-3 esc is more powerful than the Mamba Max?
How do you judge if one ESC is more powerful than another? Is it by how much continuous current the ESC can put out?
Yes, you can cut out the brace and it will be fine. I had to do that to fit SPC lipos into my battery tray and there is no weakening or anything like that.
Yeah, because if you think about it, the e-revo is only about $60 more than the e-maxx and you get all those suspension upgrades and what not. Maybe Traxxas could reconfigure the layout of the...
Yeah I should have mentioned the part about the locked diff. I have the Hot Racing diff locker installed.
I believe it does make your tires wear quicker, but most people feel that the benefits of the straight line tracking outweigh any premature wear.
It helps with straight line tracking because of the toe-in, but it doesn't extend your wheelbase, it shortens it. Because of that, you need to run wheels with the front offset on the back to even it...
I did the same thing. If you have $9-$10 to spare, it's an easy swap.
Use nitro rustler or slash rear arms.
You would need 14mm adapters, and probably extended ones at that.
Just to let anyone that is interested know, if you use those STRC adapters you will have zero clearance when you turn to the left or right.
I use these with 1/2" offset Velocity LPR wheels and I...
I like my Talons on all four corners. They are fairly good at both on and off road. However, they don't particularly excel at either. But they are a good compromise. If you are looking for a no...
Please keep all images to a maximum width of around 600...
Depends on what kind of adapters you have. If you have New Era ones, I would probably say no, just because they aren't extended. The new FLM extended Slash adapters might give you the clearance. I...
I call my brother-in-law an MR.
