yeah, the sensor wire goes in way deeper in the vxl esc then some people may think
the strc has a smaller bearing, but the biggest problem is the fact its machined all the way through and lets more dirt in
if u can afford it, go with a Hyperion, i have the duo 3 and it is awesome, firmware is updateable, the new computer software (free) is nice as well, if u have the cash, u wont be disappointed.
what controller were u using to take 8s?
gotta agree with core, how often does caraction trash anybody? U can have a straight piece of junk product, and caraction will tell u its the best thing.
the funny part is that novak marketed these motors for 1/8th scale/monster truck for 4s use, and we get them hot in a slash, I have read of people using the 4.5 in a e-maxx on 4s with success, don't...
i know a lot of people run the 4.5 on 2s, but I like to know how it does on 3s, speed, runtime, temperature, etc. I run the 5.5 on 3s and its nice with good temps, but the 4.5 would be a pretty good...
perhaps the motor shaft is spinning within the pinion, pinion set screw loose? I have also heard of the actual rotor magnet coming detached from the shaft, that could be it as well, looks like u may...
yes i am aware of the optional spring set, its gonna be my next purchase
i personally like the shocks, super smooth, nice dual rate design works well, the only negatives i have are if u have a 4x4 that has added weight over stock (ex. mine has Novak 550, x duty cvd's,...
i def recomend the e-revo brushless over the maxx brushless, both are beastly but the e-revo has less weak spots, but it will cost u more, just something to think about
i would like to see pics of the broken x~duty shaft not saying its impossible but i would suspect u would strip a wheel first, the only thing i could see breaking is the stub axle
that new velineon "XL" isnt gonna do any good unless u put lots of voltage to it, its well under 2000kv, times have changed, the velineon was cool when it first came out when brushless technology for...
after you replace the "ears" then the actual shaft will twist, definately annoying
rpm bumper will help drastically, its the only reason i bought the rpm bumper
get some new drive shafts/cvd's i use mip x-duty cvds, if you do a search, you will get more results then you can use
im suprised nobody has said anything about these yet, got to maxamps.com and check out there new invention, I can't wait to hear all of your comments!
if you can spare the cash, get the fan, can only make things better
yeah but slash 4x4 uses revo diffs
a much needed bump, does anyone have any updates on these, i just ordered some
we had a bunch of d size rayovac alkalines at work leaking, switched to duracell
not the same as the erbe, the erbe has metal shims in the diff case for better alignment under load, slash 4x4 uses revo (nitro) diffs. however, the two diffs are almost identical, but the erbe diffs...
so does amainhobbbies amain is a lot more expensive then stormer though
dont use "ca" glue on a esc it can damage it just from the fumes! never had it happen to me (never use super glue on my ground rc's) but it is a known fact
is it blinking at all?
