If you want more options of tires, than your gonna have to change to the 17mm hex nuts. As far as what tires to get your, it depends on what type of dirt your gonna be running the car on.
If your going off-road. Go for it. I've had it for 3yrs and its still fun to drive.
Hey which way do you turn the set screw in the transmission to make it shift earlier. My slayer doesn't want to shift at times.
Don't bother with it. I have had my slayer for 2yrs and it runs fine. If you plan on competition racing than you might have to consider installing the rear brake.
I turned on my Slayer for the second time this year. Runs great just doesn't shift to second gear. Not sure which way to turn the shifter screw inside the transmission. Running an RB engine on it....
I discovered my rear diff is leaking on one side? Should I replace the whole diff or take it apart and replace the seals?
Great job. I replaced my skid plate with the same ones you got. Gonna try my slayer out tomorrow. Wish my luck...vaarrrrrooom!
Where did you get them? Part #? I will definitely try your idea.
Hey dude that looks great. I put some mud flaps on my slayer. They wind up beding off. I found a long 2mm thick bar and simply zip tied it to the pumper. Then zip tied the mud flaps on each end. It...
I upgraded to Traxxas 2075 servos. No problems at all so far.
I had to purchase a whole new engine. Found pieces of it on top of the engine when I took the head off.
Actually they did. So the pin retainer doesn't come out I guess.
This is what happens when over reving your engine. Keep forgeting its not a real car, hehehe.
The cups are different.
Just got these new Drive Shafts from FastLaneMachine.net. I painted them and had to get the set screws as well. The boots where not provided. I am still running the 1st generation Drive Shafts. Gonna...

I got the RPM axle carriers. Work good for me.
Don't over rev the engine. You will break the pistion rod. I did it.
Change your radio system, I got interference and ran into a fence.
I changed my spur gear to a 40T.
Don't dare make a...
Purchased it back in May.
The stock body is garbage. The desert rat body is thicker and holds up way better. Even the baja buggy body is stronger material.
Thats weird, cause the stock axle carriers come with those metal rings. So as to prevent them from popping out. I took them off and thinking of fitting them on my RPM axle carriers.
Hey I like that water effect. I never would have guessed it until you said it. Maybe I'll try it on the next body, Desert Rat Special Edition. Do you have or know a video on youtube that shows how to...
I have the RPM carrier axles. If you crash the car hard enough, they will pop out. But I rather they pop out then something breaking.
Thanks TonyDMT. Yea, the body is actually for the slash. Took some work to get the wing on right. Even now I have to play with it to mount the body from the rear. Its a little tight from the back....
From my experience, I would have to say you overheated your engine. I witnessed myself. In my case the engine head was loose. Had air coming in through there and in returned overheated the engine....
