I still do most of those "normal" things too. lol...I just still like to play with toys.
I love my mx-3 FHSS.
It works great on my crawler and my slash. If I could afford more RX's I'd use it for all my RC's.
Thats cool. My buddy has a track at his house just a few miles away. But he only opens his track to friends one night a week. Which is very nice of him because he is a busy guy. He owns an RC part...
That always sucks man. Happens all the time up here. Thats pretty minor though. We also hit Elk, Bear, and the occasional Moose up here.
Think a deer does some damage, you should see what an elk...
I agree...I'm just a 29 year old geek still playing with my toys in the dirt.
My ski boat....toy
My 64 Malibu...toy
My lifted truck for playing in the mud....toy
Just go for it....if they see it just play dumb.
Looks like a great start. Gonna build one myself this spring...its cold enough up here the ground is getting a little hard for tilling. I'll probably borrow my uncles backhoe after winter and whip...
My buddy put a 19 turn in his slash and just kept stock gearing...worked good.
I'd go VXL for bashing. I run mine geared at 22 pinion 86 spur for bashing and have no heat issues and its stupidly fast on 7 cells or 2s lipo.
On the track I'm gonna go back down to the stock...
Glad I went with VXL....my slash wheelies on 6 cells....if I go lipo or 7 cells it does wheelies from a rolling start at almost 1/2 throttle.
The dremel trick works well. That would be my advice.
I don't have any yet...but thanks to a VXL setup I'm working on a pair.
Probably about half way worn out. If they make it bald without having a blowout you can have them for the cost of shipping.
Great person to deal with. Product was in way better shape than expected.

Glad it all still worked. I buy batteries AA'a in packs of 48 from costco...they are about 10 bucks. I ALWAYS keep a bunch in my toolbox. I should buy stock in a battery company.
I would convert to...
I have to disagree with the 80 dollar soldering iron. No way...get a cheapie. I think I paid 25 bucks for my 70 watt one from Weller.
I've wired ESC's/Motors, built batteries, and some other...
Thats is a really cool idea, and nice work.
I think you just gave me an idea the next time I need a new lid.
For the small amount of nitro I burn, it will have to get alot more expensive than 35 bucks a gallon (price at LHS) before I'll put up my nitro stuff and go stictly to electric stuff.
I'd stick with a VXL system. They are proven, and you can't beat traxxas's customer service/willingness to warranty stuff that breaks.
Definatly get what you pay for like dllvxl pointed out.
I love mine. Fits my hand well and is simple to use.
I don't need, or know how to use all the goofy little adjustments and crap that goes along with the super expensive radios. I just wanted a 2.4...
Only two tools you need in life....duct tape and WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.
If it should move and doesn't, use the WD40.
Not to mention the extra stress it will put on your suspension.
I think the best advice I can give for you now is go back to stock gearing...put the 86t spur back on and the 18t pinion. If it still has a heat problem I'd go down to a 16t pinion.
Make sure your...
That is a sweet El Camino man. Your motor is almost the exact same build as the one in my malibu. Once that thing broke in and loosened up it really came to life didn't it? I think the roller...
My only experience with side by sides was a short ride in a rhino.
I wasn't impressed with them. Too big and slow, I'll stick with my ATV's.
For your purpose I think one will work quite...
