Locktite and put some *** into it when you tighten it. Just don't strip it. Let the locktite cure for an hour or so.
Any metal to metal screws/bolts need locktite. The reasons that spurs strip have been listed. I'm willing to bet that you don't have a good feel for setting the mesh. You want as little amount of...
2.5's are too small for a mt, period. They should have never found their way onto a Maxx. If you can get a head for cheap, might as well try it. I'd look into a 3.3 or an O.S. .18(this will spank a...
Seal the picco before you install it. Do not get in a hurry about tuning for performance. It takes 1 1/2 -2 gallons to fully break in. Picco's are manufactured to much tighter tolerances and higher...
Only if your charger is capable of charging 1 cell. Wall chargers belong in the junk pile. Look on ebay for Universal Smart Charger. 6-10 cells, 1 and 2 amp settings. For $20, they can't be beat.
No way that truck will go 45. Maybe downhill tied to a Brushless maxx. You'll need carriers, a arms, driveshafts and turn buckles. Just make sure the parts you order are 4908 specific. Mainly so you...
You should use them together. The soft spring will have a hard time pushing them back up. Preload the heck outta them.
Great point. It was most likely the batteries. Batteries make a huge difference.
Shock position doesn't effect it's dampening ability too much. If you want the shocks stiffer, go to a heavier oil.
The pillow balls are probably too tight.
No it won't. You must have a bad motor.
It's a 2.5. Spending $60 on a carb for a $100 engine is just plain goofy.
Anything below freezing will eventually ruin batteries.
Drop down a couple teeth with nimh batteries.
What gears are you running? Are you setting the mesh too tight? Any binding in the drivetrain? Check these out first. Watch your temps too. You would probably be on the 2nd set of titians if you...
Could be your esc. Brushless is a good idea if you narrow your problem down to your current electronics. Then your other maxx will seem very slow.
Ebay's your friend.
The old blue tuned traxxas pipe works great on a 2.5. Cheap on fleabay, too.
Yeah, you gotta tune 'em.
Any higher than 40wt will blow caps off with hard landings. 40wt works pretty good.
380 with no support gear. 450 with batterys and charger.
Don't hold yer breath. It usually doesn't happen that way. You still pay $360 for a 2.5 maxx from tower. The 3.3 is $390. They've been that way for the last 2 years at least.
It's real possible that it was found to work better with the bigger hole.
I've tried explaining this to people before. Tuned pipe isn't just a term for more flow. I drilled out the stinger on my old plastic 2.5 pipe and the difference wasn't worth the time it took. A tad...
