There might be a rock stuck in something. Also there is a pin that goes through the suspension arms, make sure that the pin goes completely through or steering will be limited.
On the traxxas web page, it states ''It all adds up to 50,000 rpm of pure power and track-searing speed!'' So I would think that that the motor was not at its rev limiter.
How much water can these e revos go through without stalling???

The onyx 230 is a great charger. it charges nimh and lipo.
I just broke the same part yesterday. Tower hobbies has great customer support and low prices.

Yes they are 6 cell.
I thermaled mine with 2 pro-match 1600 mah batteries on my driveway in 15 minutes
Traxxas rep says 1200 mah
