Any aftermarket shocks out yet that work well and do NOT leak?
Anyone make some sway bar kits that I can buy and bolt on? Link?
I don't have time or interest to make my own.
Taller tires are great for offroad and grass. Just gear down and play.
Of course it's an option. Don't see any reason it would mess something up. It wouldn't put any more stress on the drive train than currently doing wheelies does all the time i.e. rear wheels are only...
Forget the stock servo and parts, they are just too weak. Get a metal gear servo instead.
Yup, been running lower gearing and large tires since I got this thing.
You can also just pull the rear drive shaft and run it fwd.
Yeah the main factor from going faster is wheelies all the time. I'm thinking of running slick rear tires while leaving the frts knobbie. Turn it more into a 70/30 drive car.
Paper clips. End story.
LoL, no offense meant, mate. Far as electronics, yeah they got too hot before I did this.
Much better in grass with taller tires and 17tooth pinion. It's too fast in grass even.
Monster truck owns the grass baby!
Yup, all shocks pretty much empty and totally dust/dirt covered now. Can't really say I notice much difference in handling anyway.
Well 2nd servo lasted about 6 batteries before it starting grinding noises. Ordered a 85MG one.
Rear revo spoiler fin broken on one side.
I have and it thermals even faster with stock tires on. The taller tires go through the grass much easier.
Plenty of overheating and shut downs here. I've put in a fan which give me 2x the run time before going to mode 1 shutdown.
I run all sorts of bat packs with my revo. Including 1/10 size packs. It isn't perfect or nice at 'proper' packs tidy in their bays but it works fine....
Ha, barely tapped a rock the size of the Revo not going fast at all and brand new servo is now stuck.
Sorry but these servos are junk and too delicate.
Thanks for info.
Gah, I know the info is in a thread somewhere in this forum but I couldn't find it....
so will the stock Traxxas servo arm fit on these Hitec servos?
Well the bat packs I bought have 20ga. and don't feel like changing them if I don't really need to. I know it will work but is 20ga. good enough for these cars or will performance be hampered?
After about 3 battery runs I can already hear this replacement servo clicking once and a while. Definitely need a sturdier servo.
Is there a metal gear servo out there that will work?
Got the new one in the mail and installed yesterday. All is good now. Hopefully this one lasts.
No pics of the damage?
