Just a heads up for you guys, there is a set of 4 rockster narrows on the old ebay. I know I had trouble finding them way back when and ive seen a good number of threads about the best wheels for sir...
The i-bar is directional, might be something to check out.
The summit is stock with wide ratio. Im surprised to hear that you are not happy with gear ratio for crawling. When crawling does it lack in control? or torque? This may be something that can be...
im with jamann on this one, strongly prefer having the ability to lock front diff only. Too many times this has worked to my advantage. People do what people do though.
I have 2.2 r35 ripsaws on mine. still over a 5 inch tire so it looks pretty clean. have to use sc rims to clear the carriers so a little trimming was required but very easy.
I have fried a 7950 but hitec readily replaced it. tough to beat a servo that good with customer service right on par.
cold weather im running 18/62 with no issues on my tekin. Good plan though is like this misguided football fan said (jk...ish) start by bumping up the pinion to a 16-18 and let your temps tell you...
Yes and yes.
Stock inside the diff case is 100k silicone oil, I use 500k and love it. Ive heard of packing with marine grease for added water resistance too. I use a white lithium on ring and pinion and that...
Best to move to one single servo. Hitec 7950 or 7954 are great choices. There are some great threads on this in the forums. Read up on bec too, can really make a difference. Once you have a good...
Best option is probably wheel weighting with stock a-arms
I run the 103mm on my wraith and they are awesome. No leaking on these either. Gonna be beneficial to get different spring options though (more than likely)
outerwears for erevo
You can get them in aluminum and pretty much whatever color you want. Many of the comp crawler guys utilize traxxas rod ends so you can thank them. Or a little post run oil should fix your problem.
Curious what you have in mind, wraith doesnt really have a body it has panels. Summit body will however fit on wraith, wheel base is surprisingly close.
+1 to outerwears cover. Basically run whatever you want in the snow provided it is big enough. vxl is not. Dewalt is..
so you guy are maxamp fans then?
8200mah, I didnt have to make any permanent modifications to fit them. removed the battery clips inside the box and they are snug but fit just fine.
Try the servo first, it may be fine. If you get brown out id rather get an external bec rather than put another battery on the truck.
Futaba 4pl is excellent although ksb hit the nail on the head with the t-lock
Gonna need an aluminum servo arm (hitec does have different number of teeth than traxxas servo horn) linkages will be fine, at some point aluminum servo saver will be a good idea. Ive seen ones with...
dip the inside void warranty, spray the outside (could tape off the heat sink) perfectly acceptable. Worth bringing it up only because hitec hold real customer service, tough to come across this...
Best=Tekin Rx8/T8 2000kv/1700kv
Interested in LRP sensored 1/8th system (just found out about it)
Might consider 4s or maybe an erevo?
Ive actually grown to love the creaking sound as the truck slowly crawls over obstacles
