The Pro Line desert rat is awesome.
I love the big bores. I tried the piggy backs but found them to leak like crazy from the O rings. I replaced them a few times but got the same results.
The big bores never leak and have been...
ok I will check out the HR and others. Tower has got them, right?
Have any of you used the integy aluminum gear box. I know that the FLM is sweet and you can have 3 degrees of toe, etc. But my LHS has the Integy instock for 35 bucks and it looks pretty good. ...
Just a little FYI for those of you who purchased or are planning to purchase a Novak HV Pro system and are having trouble getting those nasty little blue and orange lights on the ESC to stop...
1. I keep it geared and ready for track only. Too many broken parts on the streets.
Ok, So I did program the esc with the throttle and the brake. That worked out fine. I don't quite get the programming of the smart stop.
I haven't programed the esc or the smart stop yet. I didn't know you could program the Smart Stop.
My system is the older one without the lvc built in, it is the external one.
My EMAXX runs for only a few seconds before the blue and orange light goes on. Then the truck stops. I read the Novak instructions and found that it means that the ESC has an overload. I am...
Did you make one for the VXL yet or still only for the Nitro?
I'm getting one of those for the winter race season. Those are awesome. Just plain awesome.
show the mellow yellow. That body was the reason why I went with the desert rat!
the blinky is a good purchase. balances batts very nicely but the discharge is slower than most other brands. I like it. My electifly died on me after two months. Blinky is good.
Smoked the Titans! haha. I did that about two weeks ago. Infact, one was so hot it nearly melted the side of the body. Anyway. I went for the HV maxx pro by Novak. Couldn't be happier! :) :)
ok, good to know. I will totally run it. Just have to figure out how to solder the thing>
it is the 4s low voltage detector but I am not running two 4s lipos. I am only running two 2s lipos. Do I even need to connect this thing then or can I leave it off?
You know that lipo low voltage detect that comes with the novak hv motor/esc set up. Where do you place the black and red wires that have no ends on them? do they get soldered to the esc somewhere?
I use them for racing. They are a good sturdy battery that holds a good charge. You can balance it with an equinox battery balancer or a blinky balancer. Both work fine with it. Most folks like...
I run the Novak HV 6.5 with two 5000 mah 2s lipos and the truck is an absolute screamer. Lots and lots of fun.
This baby is used by racers and bashers who don't want to spend a whole lot but want a very effective heat sink.
I solved most of the above issues with my racing rusty using TRAXXAS 30000k grease in the planetary diff. First unscrew the diff case. Remove the 4 gears inside. Clean them (the grease is probably...
Now that is awesome! I will keep the chart as a good reference.
It looks like I have the 1/8th so I will purchase the 5mm rotor.
It looks like this motor is the older motor because of the...
I have the 3905 emaxx. I will be running two 5000 mah 2s lipos. The inside of the Novak box says that I should use 74-76/15 (safest) 70-72/14 for the 6 cell nimhs.
I am trying to see where it...
Ok, my Titans caught fire last week while running two 5000mah 2s lips with stock gearing so I needed to upgrade the motors sooner than later. A racing buddy sold me a new HV 6.5 in box with the ESC...
i use pizza grease. its edible.
