Sorry to disagree but the Talons are crap on pavement. Goose the throttle a little and you will spin. Nice off road but they're are BIG!
What are you doing with it? Street, dirt?
I used Velcro with some padding between the ESC and the rear shock tower. Hasn't come loose yet and is removable for cleaning.
Funny as it may sound, check your bulkhead. I had a similiar problem. There was a crack through the bulkhead but you couldn't see it and it wouldn't seperate until the front tires were under load...
Run what ya brung. The VXL is a nice system. If you don't have any specific plans or needs I would stay with the VXL system. Future upgarde perhaps.
Is 20 or 30 necessary? I mean how fast is your wife? I can out run mine and jump the fence if needed...she can't!
I'm sorry that statement was just funny!
Don't forget your finger might be the problem!
I have a MMP SCT PRO with the 3800 motor and I've had to detune it for bashing off road. It all depends on what you're going to do with it. From the motors that you're looking at I would guess that...
Have you seen the search function?
It's not necessarily the shock of the tires getting traction on pavement (I know you said snow) but the shock of the motor applying power to your trans. That's where the slipper helps out. It softens...
Rice can absorb over 2 times it's weight in liquid and since it's dried (basically) it's very thirsty! Doesn't even have to be liquid, it will absorb humidity.
First and third question. Yes it can and put in a bag of rice for a couple days.
At those kind of speeds power is less of an issue than physics. Takeoff speed for a small plane is about 65 MPH so there's a lot more that goes into going fast than just power. 161...
I was going to say if you think you have the skills and the tools then you would already know how to do it. I mean it's not like trying to put on a RPM bumper where you just look at and go oh it goes...
The higher the number of turns, the lower the power of the motor but a higher RPM.

130 is not a problem.
It's BIG upgrade from the Titan! It's inexpensive which is good because you will be breaking more parts. I like it alot...I just got a rediculous deal on a Castle SCT race pro combo! That's the only...
Not to thread jack but Dad are you using a 48P or 32P spur? I'm having trouble finding 48P 5mm pinions. I just bought your same combo.
The B2 was my first motor upgrade. Very respectable setup. Lots of fun and a fair amount of tweaks that you can play with. I've gotten it wet (not submerged) with no problem.
This is what I have on my rusty right now. Corners surprisingly well on the wet asphalt but burp the throttle or go into a corner to hard and she'll come around pretty easy. You can power slide it...
There is a guy on Utube that made a set of tire chains that look interesting. I put screws in a set of old tires that works really well. I haven't seen anything that you can buy off the shelf.
Unless he runs into the elephant that rolled on his truck again!
How drunk were you?
I've had some great crashes and broke stuff but I don't think I've broke that much in all of them...
Me thinks Pav might have to mow his lawn!
Why not! Sand will be easier to clean than mud. You gotta clean after any water run IMO. Tires will be key to your fun factor when it comes to sand.
You have to get the adjustable links for the front! Your front tires are way out of whack! Or you can wait till you break them!
