You're very welcome, mate. Not stupid at all.
Oooh Kay. :)
The standard E-Revo hexes are 14mm. The hexes fit onto a stub axle that's 6mm diameter with M5 thread on the end and the wheel is kept on with an M5 nut...
...and they were strong too..
I was offered a set in 2010. Wish I'd taken it but money was tight. :-(
I seem to remember having this problem.
Switched to Tekno RC TRK1014 axle carriers and never had the problem again.
Hmm. Now what are we talking about here?? An E-Revo that's twice the size of the current one, or an E-Revo that's the same size as a 5th scale short course truck?
Losi 5T length: 38"
E-Revo x 2...
Just received a set of the Ball-X axles. They're beautifully made and come pre-assembled. I've fitted them with the Tekno RC TKR10144 stub axles for zero-slop with 17mm hexes. Needed a...
Not necessary? Of course it's not! :O.o:
Come to that, nor are radio controlled models - Don't tell Traxxas I said that!:)
Is Lexan more robust than any other body shell material? Indeed it is,...
Hey there Freddy,
This is a good place to do your research.
It wouldn't be too difficult. The...
If a 20-tooth MOD1.0 will fit, then a 20/0.8 = 25t MOD0.8 pinion will be the same diameter so should fit too.
Well, I reckon that's one way to do it but I'd always go for something woven. I've found that Kevlar braid is good. Very light too. Gorilla tape's good too.
How low?? As low as it would go!! LOL
Heh! Thanks Bflosti. It was quite an adventure. Never fulfilled its potential though.
I had a great time building it but it all came down to the fact I couldn't drill a 5mm hole through a...
Yeah. Nor have I! LOL
May as well give the details of the foams while I'm at it.
These big boys started off as jaco monster Truck foams. Found them in a model shop in Southend. Apparently they...
Well, if anyone can....
Come to think of it, an autogyro - based E-Revo could get the world record for long jumps!
Great to see you're still going strong mate.
I'm just waiting for you to build the first E-Revo-based helicopter!
This should help. If not, you'll have to be more specific as to why it's not.
Hey Tommy! Nice lookin rig ya got there. I started at 32DP / 0.8MOD and pretty quickly changed to MOD1.0. The gearing you use depends mostly on the power your motor will give you. It's really a...
I'd like to see more information about the TC40 motor. The Team Associated TC4 is a popular car to modify for speed records. Maybe that's what you mean? If not, can you find it for me?
Hey D@nooshTRX. TBH, I have no idea what a TC40 is but, if you think that's the way to do it, go ahead. Be my guest.
It's not easy to run 2 motors from a standard ESC, especially...
Good to hear ya don't mind bein' beaten 'cos I'm gonna beat ya. :D
It's all a question of how far you wanna go, isn't it? My target is, and always was 100mph and it wouldn't have...
Well, the wider Revo track certainly gives more stability but the narrower Slayer track reduces frontal area and therefore aerodynamic drag. The first two runs in the video aren't...
My wallet thanks you for the sympathy, Manne, but he's hungry. PM me for his address.:D
djbis: Yeah. There were many more blow-overs than those on YouTube. In fact, one guy did exactly the same...
Links to my car are on the next page back. Here are a few more:
So long as they'll fit, any LiPo's at 20C and higher and 4000mAh plus will work great.
In my experience, ******* LiPo's are great value for money.
