Stampede 4x4 all the way.
I've had just the opposite luck with the Street Fighters. I still have my originals from over a year and a half ago. Still kicking, still great.
Awesome truck box stock. Enjoy!
I have a bunch of Onyx batteries from my local Hobbytown. I've never had one go bad. They're not too expensive and I like having local support if I need it (which I haven't).
The stock battery should give you about 20 minutes of run time. Even when you lose throttle, you should still have steering. I think it's your controller. Make sure you have good batteries in the...
You'll love the Slash. It's so low maintenance for the fun you have with it. I'm not into nitro because of the time involved, but I do know guys that love it. Make sure that you get a few good lipo...
Nope, something was adjusted incorrectly or you had a bum ESC. You didn't have the diffs locked, did you?
Yes. It starts beeping.
You can use the adjustment collars to tighten up the springs.
The difference in the MIP drivers is that they are milled out of drill bit blanks, so they are super hard and won't round off. I used to strip screws all of the time until I got these. Your mileage...
MIP all the way. I just happened to order a 1/16th diver today, lol! They are the best.
5000mah is a good size. Believe it or not, getting too big of a battery may let temps get too high with uber extended runtimes. I get about 30 minutes out of a 5000mah.
Ok, how do you get that job?
I just read that you have a charger and a lipo, der!
The best thing is just to replace stuff as you go. You'll enjoy it box stock. I would go lipo battery and charger first though. Much better performance and run time.
Welcome. It's a fun and expensive hobby. My wife has developed a mild tolerance of the hobby because she sees how much fun I have with it. Heck, I'll take mild tolerance over passionate indignation....
It's very slight each turn. Try 5 or so, then check it again. It's not going to hurt anything. If it's too much, just back it off.
Is a stripped gear. Cheap and easy to fix. Most hobby stores sell the rebuild kits.
Look up electrical tape mod on YouTube. Works great.
If your ESC doesn't have a lipo cutoff, you can get a Lipo alarm. I've used them and they work great. I would set the alarm to sound at 3.5v. You can buy one at your local hobby shop or online. I got...
Tacon is awesome. Very inexpensive.
Make sure you don't have anything binding up on you like a bearing.
I ruined my stock body very quickly. I bought a J Concepts and have loved it. The lexan is sooooo much thicker! They take way more of a beating than the stock bodies.
