Check you ESC. I had to re-solder all the motor wires back to the circuit board. Done it twice already, but i think i got it this time. and it works great.
I want the slash bumper for my truck as well. it will fit really good on my bronco body. cause the body is a little big for my truck, but it looks really cool.
XL-5 is good down to 12, and XL-10 is good to 10. I have XL-10 and you are gauranteed to pop some serious wheelies for at least 30 feet. I am running a Trinity Extreme 13 x 3 motor on a Hpi stadium...
you want great batteries that are fairly priced go here:
they have hump packs as well.
Trinity 13 x 3 Extreme motor is excellent. It also makes good use of the wheelie bar if you know what i mean. The motor is really fast and has great wheelie popping torque. It will run you about 50...
So i finally have all the OEM suspension parts swapped out. Finally i can drive my VXL Pede' witout breaking it every time i drive it. I started out with aluminum hub's, then i purchased the blue RPM...
I had that happen on my Pede. Did the wires come disconnected from the circuit board within the ESC. I had to re-solder the bullet connector housings to the circuit board. after that everythings fine.
Thats cool, thanks for the tips.
My buddy painted this for me last night. This is the 1974 bronco body from HPI. Now i gotta hit it up with some decals.
Went to town on Tower Hobbies website. I ordered these items:
Integy 17mm Ext Wheel Hub Gun Stampede/Rustler/Bandit 1 22.79
RPM A-Arms Rear Blue Electric Rustler/Stampede (2) 1 9.99
Buy aluminum shocks then run whatever weight you want. Integy makes some really cool ones with resivors on them like fox shocks.
Well i put the RPM bumper on there, but i kinda wanted something to go with the Bronco body I just purchased. it comes with some cool decals like Kc light cover and i figured that i could make it...
Thanks guys I appreciate the Ideas. I will probly do the slash bumber, but i'm not quite sure yet.
Has anyone added a Bumper and skid combo to thier trucks? Is there any one who sells something that will work on these trucks thats similiar to the E-Maxx?
Thats cool. so it is worth it to do then? You just use a dremal tool or something?
Has anyone modded thier chassis to accomodate bigger battery packs? Just wanted to get feedback on if its worth it or not. I have some 7 cell flat packs that dont fit at all, but it seems like there...
Its a good truck, but there are some things that break on it. Thats Hobby for ya. I coulda sent it in, but I fixed it instead and it runs again. I never said it was a bad truck, just that it needs...
So far i have had the Pede' Vxl for 4 days and it has broken three times. Various plastic parts and shocks. This thread is to warn about the ESC itself.
After a good day of bashing in my friends...
I use a Trinity Extreme triple modified motor on one of my trucks and thing thing hauls. The motor is 13 turn x 3. Its fast and it pops wheelies on command. I geared my truck with a 17 tooth pinion...
Its the bullets on the ESC. My Stampede Did that and i had to take apart the speed control and re-solder the bullet housing to the circuit board. After that runs fine!
