I've had mine for 2 years now and I'll say the best upgrade I've made is the Traxxas CVDs. I was shearing a driveline probably every 4th pack I ran through it (I think I broke 5). Another weak point...
I like mine.
So 2x the front tires or rear?
You can just buy the docking base for around 40 bucks. The non iPhone base slides off when you remove a couple screws and you slide the new one on.
Tower is 250ish shipped for a brand new VXL.
I never really understood the point of aluminum rockers. Al bulkheads okay, but rockers?
I think if you are a member of Towers club it's 250ish. Hopefully someone can confirm.
20C discharge is plenty...
Just discharge/charge to 3.8-3.85v volts per cell. Check with a plain old volt meter.
We need some stickies on these forums. This being one, along with: clicking noises, servo stripped, and fast blinking red/green esc.
I think of this question all the time...
A loose grub screw came to my mind first.
I like them.
It shouldn't be rubbing, you might have to shave/trim it.
I'm happy with my 1/16 summit right now, it seems pretty versatile. If I had to pick a second rig I would probably get a Stampede 4x4 VXL.
What could possibly happen? Well for one the internal resistance increases over time if the cells are not at the proper storage voltage (3.8-3.85v per cell). This causes decrease in runtime, making...
Charge plug or discharge plug?
If you're looking to use lipos for speed, I would recommend a larger pinion such as 18-19-23 to get higher speeds. When I had 16T it seemed really limited because the engine will be wrapped out and...
I believe they are 2nd gens as my truck was made in late 2011/early 2012
Well I just don't want to have it mess up on me again and risk a 20-$30 RX. I just thought that it might be a good idea to seal it up a little better if moisture gets inside the "waterproof" cover.
Well Jimmie, I was thinking about sealing those with dielectric grease. Thoughts?
My RX acted up today, it was flashing red and even when I unplugged everything but the ESC it did the same. It works if I reset the tx, but only until I turn it off, upon startup it does the same...
Woah guys, just realized that it is a 28T that I am using. I didn't experience any heat issues, but I should probably back it down to 23T just to be safe.
Those darn curbs sure don't move much.
Really the only thing you need to do with dual servos is: only have one side of linkages connected to the servo, plug both into the Ch. 1 on the RX, power up the ESC/Rx and center the servo trim....
