Hey guys, need some help.
I just finally blew up my rear diff today bashing. I have a Revo 2.5 with a 3.3 motor, took a jump and realized I just made my Revo a FRONT wheel drive only. .Haha...
Before you buy ANYTHING Integy you better read this post.
just because you see fuel to the carb doesnt mean its getting fuel.
Backflush the carb. Take the HSN out. and I mean just the needle. "the part you adjust with your screwdriver" Take a paper...
Its deep amber from being rich..
And no you dont have to take the motor apart.. Just flush it with fuel.
Take the motor off, then take the carb off and fill the motor with fuel. Drain it and dry...
I would pit him against my 9 year old and his HPI nitro MT. Cant touch the 9 year old on a track with it. Make your buddy cry for sure..
Car doesnt make you win..
How much is a pack of those servos?
Was it near the scoreboard on the field?
I know that alot of the schools have gone to remote boards.. I wonder if that coulda done it..
Those are Integy parts.. You will be on your own if you buy them..
Way better off with proline stuff.. worth the extra cash.
Just my opinion.
I would say, raise the ride heighth back up, and loosen the rear springs just a touch so your sway bar can work..
If the springs are too tight you can over do your sways.. I know this 1st hand.. I...
+1 to CR Revo.. A battery pack is good, or its bad.. Cant cause a servo to blow.
The receiver can.. A servo runs in a series.. Voltage to the red wire from the receiver means turn left.. Voltage...
Shift hub... thats it.. lol
Also could be the shift shaft screw is loose..
I think thats what its called.. haha..
To answer your question about ERevo holding up..
A nitro car is considerably heavier then an electric car. The more mass you have to move, the harder it is on the drivetrain which has to move it....
I agree.. And I have both.
You will have way more fun with the revo, just because it outhandles the Tmaxx..
Fixing means dont run into anything... lol
I think the difference is going to be your low end torque will go thru the roof..
Not so much high speed. High speed is more so determined by gearing. IMO
I have a pair of the 645's and they are very good servos..
For 35.00 you cant beat them..
I am using Traxxas 20% fuel and losi hot glo plug..
Like I said, this thing has nice smoke, and is crazy fast...
But I barely hit 200, and am usually less..
My temp gun is a 175.00 snapon....
I just got my rebuilt 3.3 back from traxxas...
I took all day Saturday to properly break it in.
The deal I was having and also now am having is this.
I have the 3.3 and a THS...
Haha, I just got a response from them too.. Said about the same thing.
What a joke..
I will go to all ends to let as many RC people know what kind of business these people are running..
JL too funny about the response to the BBB. I will have to RE-REspond. And not be so polite this time...
Use the old one to practice.
Unless you have done them, you will get frustrated and just toss it in the trash.
Like snook man said biggest thing is patience...
Agreed totally on sway bars.. Great investment for 20.00 or so..
Night and day difference in handling.
And the easiest answer to one of your questions, is YES the 3.3 drops right into the 2.5.. Direct fit.. nothing to do but break it, and tune..
And yes the 2.5 with the 3.3 motor will out handle...
Cant go wrong with the THS stuff. But you should just spend the extra 30.00 and get the entire exaust..
Good stuff for the Revo.
I just went thru this also. If you adjusted your shift point too tight by accident, this shift hub is now no good.
The best thing you can do is to make sure your tune is good, and if its still not...
