To clean I remove the wheels, electronics and wrap the slots in the starter motor with electrical tape then take it, along with wheels to coin wash. Use compressor to blow dry at home then spray...
Make sure you run a full tank of fuel through it without it stalling. Go through and tighten as many screws as you can to check for some that might be stripped.
Check for Teflon washer or you might have to use another washer between block bearing and the cone.
Really helps protect the rear part of body from cracking.

Never had a problem with the blue even on plastic.
Some of the newer Revos and slayers use a 5324x rx/battery box that is universal in the fact that you can use a flat pack or a hump pack. The first of this style came on the revo platinum as a 5324r...
When you put it back together use a drop of blue loc tight on the threads of the screw pin.
I believe the 4909 tmaxx was the only model that came with opti drive. When they come up for sale they usually fetch a good price. Earlier this year I sold a new one for $110. Used ones go for $60...
I use Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish on my motorcycle aluminum parts without anything else once a year. It does an excellent job without having to worry about anything flaking or peeling off.
Try to set up for a turn by slowing down before entering and then power through the turn.
A couple more questions for someone using a pull starter on a 523 or 323.
Are any of you running the 01901-323210 back plate and if so what pull starter are you using.
